370Z ZSpeed Undershroud Group Buy

There has been a lot of interest in the 370Z Undershrounds and the idea of doing a group buy. We currently have several of these in stock and wanted to offer the group buy to members.
http://www.z1motorsports.com/g37_370...page=prod_info
We need at least 5 people signed up to get the deal and I can fill orders up to #8. If there is more than 8 I can start another round of the group buy.

Now for the important stuff....

Price: $199 + $15 shipped to continental US
More Product Information

These fit stock 370Z's but I am unsure about the NISMO version. If anyone with a Nismo would like to stop by the shop for the sake of the community we would be happy to test it out.

Shoot me a PM with your name and shipping info and I will get your name on the list and the other details worked out.
Thanks for the interest!

Will this work if we add a spacer to the oil pan?

Chuck@Z1 12-24-2010 12:35 PM

I can't say for certain if it will work with an oil pan spacer.

theDreamer 12-24-2010 12:37 PM

Ok, I do not have one but am considering picking one up to add some additional cooling.

MB370Z 12-24-2010 12:45 PM

add me that list chuck

I considered it at first too. but it would lower the oil pan and make it the lower point up front.. didnt like that since the z's hit anything on the road.

If ya got the cash check out the CSF radiator instead perhaps. Oil cooler + radiator = win.

Ron 12-26-2010 12:16 PM

will this fit the nismo?

edit: uh nevermind, just read the first post  lol

It should, as I believe they both use the same shaped underbody plastic piece. They just need a local volunteer in GA to confirm fitment.

Ron 12-26-2010 11:29 PM

Well Chuck, if no one shows up send one to me I can try it out, I'll pay shipping to TX

Chuck@Z1 12-27-2010 01:55 PM

3 left.

If your not on the list and want to be please shoot me a PM or reply to this thread!!!

ZPirate 01-05-2011 12:17 PM

Chuck, add me to the list. I'll take one.

I'm also considering one for my 350Z. Will the 350Z version filt with a Stillen oil pan?

I don't think I am gonna get it until we know for sure if it fits the nismo, besides I have an oil cooler in mind right now. Maybe next time. Thanks Chuck!

Chuck@Z1 01-06-2011 08:52 PM

ZPirate,
Thanks for the order.
I unfortunately do not know about the Stillen oil pan either.
It is beginning to look like I am going to have to "get dirty" and start testing this thing to let people know what works.
I'm sure I can find some 370's at the shop on Saturday to be a little pig.

cdoxp800,
FL borders GA and it's a good time for a drive....
However, I will be sure to pass along the greetings! Thanks for the offer.

Hey Ron,
I will try to post up on here as soon as we know something for sure.

Would the oil cooler you have in mind happen to be the Z1 Motorsports Oil Cooler? :stirthepot::happydance:

Alfamale 01-07-2011 09:07 AM

sorry for being a noob but is the undershroud suppose to protect undercarriage oil sump area? Wont it restrict airflow and heat up temps?

daisuke149 01-07-2011 09:20 AM

You already have an undershroud that is plastic and more restrictive.

Alfamale 01-07-2011 09:29 AM

thanks daisuke.

chuck, i'm keen on couple more things from your shop, do you ship to Singapore?

Alfamale,

I should be able to ship to Singapore. I ship items worldwide everyday!
I will send you a PM and see if we can work something out.

Daishi 01-07-2011 02:24 PM

How will this work for people who have the hotchkis sway bar. MY hotchkis bar already rubs on the stock undershroud. I want in on this but I dont want the bar to be rubbing against this and making noise.

I have the Hotchkis, and will be installing the undertray this weekend. I'm thinking I may have to add some kind of padding ... we will see.

Thanks Chuck! I look forward to receiving my undershroud.

how did it go?

They test fitted one on my car with Stillen Sways and there werent issues.

Although an oil pan spacer would cause issues.

Da.Menace 01-12-2011 06:39 PM

is it possible to ship to Canada? Its too big for me to bring over the border :(

Drive across and put it on the car and leave the stock piece?

ChrisSlicks 01-12-2011 06:43 PM

Install both one on top of each other.

Chuck@Z1 01-22-2011 10:30 AM

Half of these shrouds have been paid for and most have shipped out. Act fast if you want to get in on this group buy.
It's a great way to save on shipping and you are well on your way to a free 370Z calender with a $500 order.
You can see the calender Here.

ZPirate 01-31-2011 08:08 AM

Chuck,

I finally got around to installing my ZSpeed undershroud this weekend when I changed the oil. Man it's a nice piece. Too bad hardly anyone will ever see it. Fits great too.

Now I need to pick up one for my 350Z.

ZPirate 02-09-2011 08:33 AM

Here are pictures with the undershroud installed.

SPOHN 02-10-2011 07:04 AM

So I guess no issues with the Hotchkis sways? This is a must have if you ask me.

ZPirate 02-10-2011 07:59 AM

No issues with my sway bars. Mine are Stillen sway bars, but the question is the same for any aftermarket sway bar. It is my understanding that the 370Z undershroud was designed with aftermarket sway bars in mind.

Apparently the first version for the 350Z was not. ZSpeed now has a version 2 for the 350Z. The 370Z undershroud is very similar to the 350Z version 2.

Oh I couldn't agree with your more about the undershroud being a must have.

Raven 02-10-2011 01:02 PM

anybody confim if this will fit the nismo?

Juruki 02-10-2011 02:26 PM

whats the purpose of this undershroud?

4r3s 02-10-2011 02:35 PM

ZPirate - Can you give the oil change door a small review? Is it big enough? can you actually reach everything from it? Do you think its still easier to take the whole shrowd off to do an oil change? I'm purely going from memory but that door seems rather far back and small for doing oil changes. Basically Im looking at buying this item if it actually makes oil changes more accessible.

ZPirate 02-10-2011 03:36 PM

First a caveat to my response. I haven't yet changed the oil using the trap door. Since I needed to change my oil when I installed the undershroud I did the oil change once I removed the OEM plastic tray and before I installed the new undershroud.

That being said it appears that the trap door lines up perfectly with the oil drain plug and the oil filter. I see no reason why you should be able to change both the oil and the filter using the trap door. I've heard that changing the oil is easier if you also use something to hold the trap door open against the bottom of the undershroud so that it doesn't get in the way, but I haven't tried it.

Spddracer 03-06-2011 05:41 PM

The oil door comes completely off with just 2 bolts. I made sure there was plenty of room to get the oil filter and drain plug out and nothing drains inside the shroud.

This will not fit with a pan spacer or deeper pan, I wanted this close to the pan to draw air across the pan for better cooling of the pan area.

From what I have seen the pan is already very low on the car so I didn't think many people would put it any lower with a spacer.

If there is enough demand I will look into making one to clear the deeper pans/spacers.

Thanks for the reviews!

Mike 03-06-2011 07:40 PM

it slightly interferes with my oil cooler fitting, but not enough that I couldn't attach it. Its just bowed out a little right where the lines come down. They are hard fitting though , and it shouldn't be a problem, but I may just cut the area out to be safe.

daisuke149 03-06-2011 07:54 PM

hrmm. its metal.. so if i gotone.. you know what that means Mike....
