So I guess no issues with the Hotchkis sways? This is a must have if you ask me.
|
No issues with my sway bars. Mine are Stillen sway bars, but the question is the same for any aftermarket sway bar. It is my understanding that the 370Z undershroud was designed with aftermarket sway bars in mind.
Apparently the first version for the 350Z was not. ZSpeed now has a version 2 for the 350Z. The 370Z undershroud is very similar to the 350Z version 2. Oh I couldn't agree with your more about the undershroud being a must have. |
anybody confim if this will fit the nismo?
|
whats the purpose of this undershroud?

ZPirate - Can you give the oil change door a small review? Is it big enough? can you actually reach everything from it? Do you think its still easier to take the whole shrowd off to do an oil change? I'm purely going from memory but that door seems rather far back and small for doing oil changes. Basically Im looking at buying this item if it actually makes oil changes more accessible.
|
First a caveat to my response. I haven't yet changed the oil using the trap door. Since I needed to change my oil when I installed the undershroud I did the oil change once I removed the OEM plastic tray and before I installed the new undershroud.
That being said it appears that the trap door lines up perfectly with the oil drain plug and the oil filter. I see no reason why you should be able to change both the oil and the filter using the trap door. I've heard that changing the oil is easier if you also use something to hold the trap door open against the bottom of the undershroud so that it doesn't get in the way, but I haven't tried it. |
The oil door comes completely off with just 2 bolts. I made sure there was plenty of room to get the oil filter and drain plug out and nothing drains inside the shroud.
This will not fit with a pan spacer or deeper pan, I wanted this close to the pan to draw air across the pan for better cooling of the pan area. From what I have seen the pan is already very low on the car so I didn't think many people would put it any lower with a spacer. If there is enough demand I will look into making one to clear the deeper pans/spacers. Thanks for the reviews! |
it slightly interferes with my oil cooler fitting, but not enough that I couldn't attach it. Its just bowed out a little right where the lines come down. They are hard fitting though , and it shouldn't be a problem, but I may just cut the area out to be safe.

And how was your track day being it rained? |
no, my sandwich plate is oriented so the fittings are on the bottom.
today was awesome, after the first session, which was wetter than anything yesterday. three really good sessions in the dry. |

I'm going to install my GTM oil cooler tomorrow. Any suggestions of what angle I should put the sandwich plate in? Such as the fittings facing more of the front of the car or more towards the ground. |
