YourLEDShop: "Gauging" Interest :)
As weird as it may sound, I would like to introduce a product to you guys that’s not really LED related (well, it has LEDs in it, but not a lighting product). I found this product when I was on a trip to Japan and Hong Kong. They’re called Depo/Option Gauges. When I was in Japan, these gauges were fairly common, and these were pretty common in HK as well. So I picked up a set for myself. After using them for a year, I haven’t had any problems. For some odd reason, these gauges are almost unheard of in the US. I’m not sure why, but I contacted them brought a couple back for you guys this time around. We have a couple of these gauges on hand, but we don’t have a big inventory. We are looking for people to test them for themselves, and give an honest review to see if you like them as much as I do.
I have talked to a few forum members and they said that the Zs that 52mm gauges fit perfectly in pods on the dash. Unfortunately we didn't bring any back with us, but we would like to know which kind you guys would like so we can start ordering them! (We dont need an exact number, just want to know which kind, most popular ones are oil pressure, oil temp, and water temp) Here are some of the details of the gauges: - Opening and ending ceremony - Highly Precise Japanese Stepper motor movement provides smooth operation and immediate response. - Illuminated by ultra bright LEDs (White and Amber) (Dimmable) - Full 270 degrees sweep provides complete readout - Self-diagnosis of sensor and short circuits - FIRST to have touch panel control boxes with every peak/warn series gauge. (Designed by the latest technology based on the application of the electrostatic on the human body)(Can be mounted by user preference) - Programmable Warning setting and peak setting - Daisy Chain System enables to link gauges together (power source) For now, check out their website at DEPO RACING JAPAN (Shown in Bar, but we have PSI in stock) As of right now, we have: 3 - 60mm Boost Gauge (PSI) 2 - 60mm Oil Pressure (PSI) PM me if you want to be one of the first ones to own these in the USA!!! (well, second, since i had mine for over a year now ) Depo/Option Gauges - Opening and Closing Ceremony YouTube- Depo/ Option Gauges - Opening and Closing Ceremony Depo/ Option Racing Gauges - Touch Panel Control Box YouTube- Depo/ Option Racing Gauges - Touch Panel Control Box |

What kind of pricing? I would be interested in an oil pressure gauge... but right now I'm leaning toward Defi.

It looks like they'll probably be in the 125-150$ range. They look decent, but the red/orange color is probably different than the factory color and the branding on the gauge is annoying.

The branding is annoying. They would look better without for sure.
I still might try to go with some sort of "hidden" mounting. I just want an oil pressure gauge somewhere so I can keep can eye on things.

We will be running intro special for the 52mm for $95 shipped, and the 60mm for $100 shipped. Normal price is $125 and $130 shipped, respectively.
the third video that vipor has is their old version. Those dont have the control boxes, and the open and closing ceremony is different. Also, they used older style stepper motors which were louder and less accurate. |

also, i will contact the Depo and see if they can make a gauge without logo, since i have heard people wanting that.
Would it be better if it said Option on it? (just curious) -Cliff |

Saying nothing would be preferred.

It's the fact that the logo is illuminated with the gauge indicators itself IMO

Looks very interesting and economical. What's the status in regards to importing these gauges to the states?
I might cancel modifying the OEM gauges and get these instead just in case I decide to go FI in the future. How about Boost, Oil Temp, Volt?
