One order so far, 5 more to go!

RCZ 11-04-2009 10:46 PM

If I can't get it locally this week, I am in for one of them. Will let you know. That shipping price is too much for me.

Can you get the front bumper from the seibon/greddy car too?

Z eliminator 11-05-2009 11:28 AM

Can you get the GTR looking bumper? Please let me know.

thanks

LiquidZ 11-05-2009 04:22 PM

Do you know how these are constructed? I didn't get a concrete answer in the SEMA thread. Are they carbon overlay over FRP, or pure 100% carbon? Based on the price, I'm assuming its not 100% carbon.

RCZ 11-05-2009 05:11 PM

Seibon almost always does carbon over fiberglass.

I don't think it is a production piece.. if I am mistaken, PM me a link for some information, and I'll talk to my SEIBON rep.

Currently not 100% carbon, they may in the future.

JB-370z 11-17-2009 08:13 PM

I was wondering about the TS style hood. Do you have to worry about rain getting into the engine bay??

bradz 11-17-2009 08:30 PM

I want info. about the carbon fiber hatch and spoiler. Is this a full replacement of stock hatch or just a stick on thingy? How about the spoiler, needs some drilling?

AJ@ECSMotorsports 11-17-2009 10:13 PM

All vented hoods run the chance of water getting inside the engine bay. However, no harm is or can be done. Seibon's TS Style hood is their #1 selling vented hood design, next to the OEM style hoods.

The hatch and spoiler are factory replacements. They are not stick-on.. this is Seibon ;)
Still awaiting information, pricing, availability from Seibon regarding these two items, as well as those fenders.

Check back often, I'll post updates, and update the OP as well.

-AJ

RCZ 11-18-2009 09:20 AM

Tell em we want the bumper!

Z eliminator 11-18-2009 06:31 PM

Yes i would like to have the bumper sent to Canada.
How much does it cost and when will they be ready to by?

AJ@ECSMotorsports 11-20-2009 05:55 PM

Alright..

I am updating the OP with this information as well, so bare with me :)

They have CF Doors, Hatches, GTR Style Hood, TS Hood, OE Hood, CF Fenders, CF Wing, CF Side Skirts, CF Front Lip, CF Rear Lip, Engine Covers, and even more products, all available.

ECS Motorsports is now taking orders on ALL Seibon 370Z products.

At this time, I do not have more information in a GTR bumper, sorry guys.

Pricing will be updated later today, need to confirm all my pricing :)

Let me know if anyone else has any questions, or to place any orders. We have sick deals on Seibon items, we cannot be beat!

RCZ 11-21-2009 11:20 AM

awesome! I might be jumping on this one...

We need pictures!

AJ@ECSMotorsports 11-21-2009 11:29 AM

The picture at the top of this page, post #16 shows the Seibon/GReddy 370Z with the fenders, front lip, hood.

Other pictures on the first page of this thread show a better angle of the Nismo Stlye CF Lips, hoods, door, fenders, etc :)

In the mean time, offer is still up for $25 rebate for installed pictures on first 6 orders (two of each hood). I'll knock off $10-15 for installed pics of lips, spoilers as well.

-AJ

RCZ 11-21-2009 06:38 PM

Picture on post 16 shows the GT-R style front bumper on the car. The one you say isnt available. I assume, thats not the "lip" you are referring to, so the "lip" is not on post 16.

The only carbon lip on this page is the MINE's lip, not the seibon one. (on the white car, thats not seibon, thats Mine's)

When you say Nismo style rear wing, do you mean the S-tune one or the actual nismo one. If its the actual Nismo one, I'll buy it right now.

Please fix up your info... its very misleading right now.

Did Seibon just copy all the S-tune parts? Are those the ones you are referring to as the NISMO style front lip, sideskirts and rear wing? Are those even from seibon? they arent aerojacket replicas right?

AJ@ECSMotorsports 11-22-2009 10:13 AM

Ah, my mistake, thanks for catching and clearing that for me :)

The front bumper is NOT a Seibon bumper or lip. I am unsure what/whose bumper that is.. but I would like to find out.

The rear wing is a NS style wing, according to Seibon. I was mistaken to believe it was the Nismo style (NS). I foudn out they also make "NS" 350Z items, which do not look like Nismo parts, so I came to that conclusion. Sorry for the misleading info guys.. here's Seibon's NS Style wing for the 350Z:
http://www.seiboncarbon.com/Images_U...350-NS%202.jpg

The front lip, sides, and rear is also NS style.
Here's the Sides and barely the rear Seibon CF Lip:
http://www.evo-r.net/SEMA09/370Z/SEMA2009%20197.jpg

Still awaiting pics from Seibon on all their items, including two more I haven't yet listed :)

I'll keep you guys posted, but for now, the hoods and hatches are ready to ship!

RCZ 11-22-2009 10:36 AM

Thanks for the clarification

One thing I'd like to find out is whether Seibon remade the S-tune stuff in CF. Those sideskirts and rear lip (probably the front lip once you get pics) are CF versions of the S-tune stuff.

This is the S-Tune
http://www.zerotohundred.com/wp-cont...0ef0e0a007.jpg

If those are the "seibon" lips and sideskirts, then thats a little odd.

Anyway, Im waiting for pics of the wing. So far I like the hatch and the hood.

AJ@ECSMotorsports 11-23-2009 03:38 PM

Yep, looks like it so far.. a Nismo S-Tune style Seibon Carbon Fiber Lip Kit. Their rear wing for the 350Z is also a replica of the S Tune..

If you were interested in the full lip kit, I could give a better deal ;)

RCZ 11-23-2009 04:17 PM

^ Sorry man, I don't like that lip kit. Im very interested in the other stuff though.

AJ@ECSMotorsports 11-23-2009 06:03 PM

All good :)

We all have different preferences, I've seen it all.. haha.

Let me know if I can be of any help. Both the hood and hatch are available.

AJ@ECSMotorsports 11-24-2009 05:08 PM

EDIT: Wrong forum! LOL

motoextreme 11-26-2009 12:19 AM

Not trying to burn anyone here but just know if you buy these hoods they are NOT bolt on. You may need to redrill holes, your stock fasteners will not work for the front seal, your wiper sprayers will not stay and your rubber stoppers in the front will not screw in.

With a good half day or so, a dremel and a steady hand you could probably get it to work but I just don't have the patience and I'm a little irritated. I used to own a bike shop, sold 100's of pcs of carbon and my stuff bolted on like OEM, this isn't that type of part. I just put mine for sale on the classifieds at a loss. Bummer as I really was looking forward to seeing it on my car.:shakes head:

Oh well.... Just a word of advice to those of you looking for one. On a positive note, beautiful pc of carbon and very light. Not some flimsy pc of #$*%... Best of luck.

PS, problems to expect, holes for rubber seals too large, not spaced right and some holes are just plain missing. underside is too thick so alot of the stock fasteners will not work, man...I know I could likely fix it but I worry I'd drill too deep and wont be able to find the clips, etc. Corona time...

iceman21_23 11-26-2009 03:45 AM

like i asked in the first post it really sounds like you ordered the wrong hood that really sounds like the 350z hood

RCZ 11-26-2009 06:08 PM

Stop buying garbage on ebay motoextreme.

AJ@ECSMotorsports 11-26-2009 06:11 PM

That def was not a Seibon hood

motoextreme 11-27-2009 09:27 PM

Just wanted to shoot an update to my earlier note. Spent nearly 6 hours on it but I got the hood to work. Loaded up on all new pop screws at the parts shop, drilled new holes and used some weather strip sealer.

Its definitely a Seibon hood, says it all over the box and on the hood plaque as well. Its on now but a tad off center, I'll have the body shop fix that.

Point is, hood looks cool on but dont expect a quick install and your better off just plugging the sprayers, impossible to get those on. You can see my pics of the car with hood under the Gallery section.

As far as Ebay, I've bought tons of stuff on it and not always cheap. That's where I found half of my cars and bikes. Just didnt want anyone to bite off more then they can chew and get frustrated..

Would of took less then 6 hours but I fiberglassed the bad holes and that takes time. Looks much better now.

AJ@ECSMotorsports 11-28-2009 12:13 PM

Thanks for the input and honesty..
Not sure if it was a 350Z hood as stated earlier by iceman, but I am thinking you may have purchased a pre-production hood from Seibon.. which was imperfect in condition.

There were several 370Zs at Sema with flawless hoods, and Seibon never produces hoods which require bodywork by the buyer/end user. At the least you'll have an imperfection in the weave somewhere, usually un-noticeable. Or perhaps one corner raised slightly higher than it should be, but hood pins do hold it down, if it bothered you. That's the worst i've seen from Seibon, in my experience.

G35guy84 11-30-2009 02:45 PM

I'm ready to buy the GTR style hood, but I've got to see it on a Z first, particularly a PW Z. Any pic updates yet? :excited:

AJ@ECSMotorsports 11-30-2009 07:08 PM

Unfortunately no pics yet.. Seibon never provides installed pics, just general pics.

Which is why we're offering $25 rebate for those who can first provide me with installed pics, and a nice write-up/review :)

PM me if interested, I'd love to see this hood on a PW Z!
