I ordered mine 3 months ago, but they arrived damaged... sent them back for replacements and now I'm waiting... I've been promised a new set was "almost ready for me", "going to ship out tomorrow", "ready for shipping", "shipping tomorrow bro"... etc...

I'm really worried I might not ever get them, or a refund after seeing your post.

What's going on???

Now today (7/31/2015), I'm waiting for tracking info that was supposed to be sent Monday (7/27/2015), for a replacement set that was supposed to be shipped out on 6/26/2015.

Got my side blades in... and now I know why it took so long. They refinished the damaged ones they sent me and shipped them right back to me. So much for, "I'll get you a new set out right away".

On the one that was damaged the most; Instead of the ends being carbon fiber, they look spray painted black almost. It fades out quickly, as if they just refinished the ends with bondo or some crap and re-cleared over it.

The crack that was in the middle was sanded down, and re-cleared. I can still see where it was.

I'm not sure how these will look once installed... maybe nobody will notice, which is probably what they we're thinking when they shipped them back to me refinished...

Not quite what I expected for the money. Live and learn I guess.

Sucks tho, because I really wanted their Type III wing!!

We didn't repair and give your old ones back to you, because we fix it into full fiberglass and sold the old ones as full fiberglass to a local guy for less $$.

We had many order before you also,so we have to get other peoples orders out also, before yours.

By us replacing your damage ones with no questions ask.And we dealing with UPS damage after is that not good? If UPS is ever going to pay us the most we are going to get back is $100

When Carbon fiber is hand lay there can be movement in the weave.
If you get fake carbon then maybe it will look perfect .

Once you install it, tell us how much of that black you are going to see

After you install it we're pretty sure it will look every nice on your Z

If you think $325 is a lot $$$ for U.S hand made Carbon parts?
Wait till you get Carbon parts for Euro car

Threads like this are helpful and definitely made me pull the e-brake on purchasing the same side blades.

Attachment 106455

This looks like a patch on the underside, exactly over the crack that was in the other side, exactly where it was on the 1st blade I was sent.

I only know what I can see and what I've experienced. I know what the 1st set looked like and this one just looks fixed.

I know how long it took the 1st ones to arrive, and I know how long it took to get these back.

All I can do is put 2&2 together... Maybe you have a problem with you mold in that exact spot that caused many sets to turn out this way? Maybe the finish on these just happen to look different than the first set? But my gut is telling me different.

If it's just me, then you've got nothing to worry about. Maybe everyone else's stuff is perfect and I'm just the unlucky one... And that's ok, because I'm putting these blades on and rolling with it!

Here is how laying 2x2 weave carbon works.

2x2 weave is very Sensitive.
If the weave move and we don't cover the back side with black or patch you are going to see right threw. And it will look like there are holes.
Because we only lay 1 layer of carbon on the top side.No point of layer 2 layer of carbon.

The black area" when pulling out from the mold,it has to be hand cut when carbon is harden.
And the black out area is going to be under your car that you can not see.
