you may want to look in the exhaust section the choices vary, the leading exhaust to meet your specs are stillen cbe and fi cbe here's the link.

Looks like were getting some more sydney guys on here. Will come in handy for a group buy.

Yeah its between the F.I and Stillen. If I was to go F.I it would be with the 18" resonators so its not so droney. But I'm leaning toward the stillen as its supposed to have no drone and looks better in my opinion.

Let me know when you are ready to do something and we will see if we can get some others on a group buy to save on the shipping

Yeah it really depends on what u are after, they are both very similar in terms of power gains. I've gone with the stillen an berk HFCs. Go on YouTube an listen to Semtex videos when he just had these installed. He got some pretty damn good gains with this combo, so did a few more ppl.

The fi exhaust makes the car look tuned from behind cos they are more visible, took me a while to get used to them but I reckon they look good now hehe I saw bezzitas car a week ago and it looked Damn good very hot from behind.

just be prepared though, you will get massive gains with high flow cats but these increase the noise quite a bit. This worried me a little but then I came to the conclusion that it's a sports car lol as long as there isn't any drone, I'm happy from what I've read about my combo there isn't any drone. I'll let u know definately in a few days

From what I have heard on the net, I'd agree with AH370Z. The Stillen sounds a little smoother. I'd be interested to know if anyone has seen a video of a stillen exhaust with standard cats if it is the cats that significantly add to the noise??

Cats definitely make a big difference. They are quite a bit louder and the sound is much more raw.

Yes if you dont want constant loud humming or a loud exhaust in general, then stay away from the hfcs. There is a thread where some guys returned them to stock and couldnt be happier. They said the hfc just made the cabin that much more noisy and annoying.

Yeah thats the thread that scared me lol... I'm gonna try them out anyways, Semtex, when he just had those two, said there wasn't any drone and at cruising, it was very quiet so I guess what might seem too loud for some might be quiet for others (all depends on preferance and possibly age... lol).

I want mine to make a noise throughout the range but be quiet when I'm not revving, both of these exhausts on their own will be relatively fine, however the stillen is quieter (this is and isn't a good thing for some). From the videos and bezzitas car, the fi's have a deeper tone, but keep in mind the car had high flow cats too (the stillen with cats give a deeper tone aswell). Actually GTRFAN went for a drive in the car I didnt speak to him about it but he could give some insight on the FI stuff (the car has FI cat back and FI hfc's)

Darren?

as for the stillen I have only heard it on videos, so I cant say if it'll be overly loud with the cats, it is difficult to tell because cameras can either add or remove noise......

Possibly this Friday I may be able to let you guys know if I can get mine booked in that is....

End of the day you'll be happy with either. If you want a visible exhaust go the FI if you want it more stealth go the Stillen. Stillen/berk hfc combo give good gains, not sure about the FI stuff with gains though, Any QLD guys who have installed them here? maybe post the gains below (there is another thread on this I know :P)

I think (dont hold me to this) semtex and another member got 28rwkw and 27rwkw respectively with the stillen cat back and berk hfc's

FI guys post below haha

with HFC, the FI has much more drone in the cabin. i do think is sounds better, but, it is louder in the cab on the freeway, with the outside noise level very similar to the stillen.

So you have the stillen cat back and berk hfc? do you get any drone at all in the cabin revving or while cruising?

Bezzitas car has an awesome sound inside without being too droney or being irritating. Having said that, it was quite loud though, especially with the SRM downchanges, but it's sounds so good.

I really liked the setup but I think for me personally I will go with a slightly quieter system like the Stillen. I think I will go exactly the same as what you're (Evan) talking about. Stillen CBE - Berk - Stillen long tube intakes. (Or see what the Jap tuning houses like HKS bring out)

I would be ready to mod my car now, but I am just about to install $5k worth or air conditioning at my house which will eat away my mod budget, so I'll have to wait a bit.

Something you might want to consider

New INVIDIA exhaust dual canister NO RASP. PROTOTYPE AVAILABLE SOON FROM AMPLIFIED

Sounds great, even with HFC. Construction of the exhaust is excellent, specially for the price. 304 fully polished stainless steel including flanges, and your choice of rolled or single wall REAL TITANIUM tips. Old design was dyno'd at 18whp but this setup is only slightly different with the resonators and better design X PIPE. Dyno results should be similar and i'm trying to convince invidia to get this done asap

Hope that helps

Hi-Flow Cats too loud!

I saw your posts about exhaust being too loud with the HFC.

I'm someone thats a bit concerned about the constant humm through the cabin.

Just going with the Stillen CBE and stock cats, is there a change in cabin noise in normal cruising?
Can you tell that the exhaust has been upgraded with the stock cats

Thanks
--------------------
Hi there,
I have a pretty good knowledge base of after market exhausts and can tell you that the 370z reacts a little different than other cars with the addition of HFC's. It is night and day. Taking off the Berk cats and re-installing stock eliminated cabin drone completely and quieted the car by over 75% while still sounding a little "sporty" with just the Stillen CBE. If you are concerned with drone, cabin noise or anything of the sort, stay away from HFC's. Good luck!
So i've made my decision
