Connecting iPod - Displaying Video
I've got an AV cable that connects from the headphone output on my iPod Touch and splits into audio L/R and video. I tried a video clip from the ipod and it outputs the audio but no video. Do I need a cable that connects from the data output of the ipod for video to display or do I need to tweak some settings elsewhere?

you are lacking a video signal and need one of these

am i correct in saying you cant play video while the car is in gear or moving?

If you output from the headphone socket, you'll only get audio as expected. I wish our cars came with the proper ipod connector, but the after market ones might actualy be better. |
Thanks 370z4Steve, that's what I thought.
I meant it wasn't outputting video while idle (engine off). Why would you want the video to work while driving? That's gotta be distracting! |

I have tried the standard Apple video cable with my iPhone and it worked really well. I'm not sure if it works while driving though.
