Default Traction Control

Hey Guys,

I was wondering exactly how do we turn off traction control completely. The other night I was showing off to some friends ( I had already pushed the VDC button to turn TC off) and threw the car sideways through a corner it slid for a second but then the TC came on I saw the TC light flash in the instrument cluster and it killed my slide and it was a bit dangerous to cause I already had opposite lock on. Anyway what I want to know is am I turning the VDC off right? All I've been doing is touching the button once is there another way to completely switch it off? Do I have to be stopped to turn it off? Any Info would be great TIA guys.
