Well by the time I have enought money to get an R35, they would have all desolved with rust, so I'm guessing i'll have fun with the 370 while I can lol.
I ended up getting the berk HFC's and the stillen exhaust. I came very very very close to getting the intakes as well, but I'll hold off on them for a little bit just till I run in the engine and know it's all good. I still wanna reach 2000km before i put on the exhaust so I'm up for cruises anytime whenever anyone wants to :P I had taken my 350 to dalder exhausts in preston and I think it was Zoran there who was really good - he was carefull with the install, I might call to see if he is still there, but they haven't got a dyno. I would be interested in seeing what gains I get. How much did they charge for the dyno? And also for the exhaust install? (if you don't mind me asking) |

The charged me $600 to get these 3 mods intalled and this price includes 2 dyno runs..., 2 pulls earch run. I do not know the price breakdown.., I am guessing $90-$100 for each dyno run and $400 for the installations.
So when's your exhaust arrive??? Probably we can go together to Technik Tuning.., I am planning to install the FI HFC and the coilover the end of this week (if it manages to get here mid week)... or else gonna be next week. |

Hey bez', great stuff mate. A nice 37atwhp gain is great, the stock run seems a little low but the main thing is that getting it done on the same Dyno same day to give you a good comparison. I havn't noticed/know much about that brand of Dyno and they could actually read a bit lower than others.
But damn you for getting the F.I. exhaust first LOL, hopefully ours will be here early next week and can also join the F.I. club. Tonys taking over the world. Hope you are enjoying the new additions.. BTW thanks for the little review also. You two cant help yourselves .

It's the gear that was used for the pull. On a dyno you should always use the gear with a 1:1 ratio. The US guys seem to use 4th which was correct in the days of 5sp gearboxes but the 370z 6sp has 5th as the 1:1 ratio. This is why the power differs. The only problem with running 5th is that the dyno may not be able to handle the wheel speed associated with running to the end of the gear as it's up around 200km/h
Just my 2c worth

Thanks! To be honest that what I thought too.. base run a bit low..., but they did 2 runs almost identical in the morning only about 5kw different between them...., so I dont think it's wrong... becoz in the afternoon runs were not that difference... same dyno..., same settings.., almost identical weather conditions etc.
Yeah Tony is a great guy..., he's bit upset when I cancelled my order but still he helped me out to save some $$ by sending my HFC via USPS. I bet you guys gonna be very happy with this exhaust!!! Quote:
I have not installed it yet..., probably next week! UPDATE: I received the HFC yesterday and installed it straight away...., ohhh the exhaust sound now sooo deeepp and throaty.... Done the dyno run again..., but somehow it did not show any gain... it does exactly the same 207kW @ rear wheels. But as my butt-dyno go, I do feel a slight different... probably because of the louder exhaust noise. |

What gear did you run it in? How about the torque, any increase? That's what you "feel" when accelerating out of low revs.

Yes, I noticed it too..., the best is to do your dyno run on 5th gear because 1:1 ratio. I dont know why the shop decided to do it in 4th gear!?!? Probably for safety reason??? hmm
But I dont really care how much power my car make.... 100kW or 400kW, I only interested how much gain my car made stock vs. with mods...., I think it gained around 16% power increase... not too shabby for NA engine.... actually it's very impressive gain. Quote:

Great work on the mods, really good gains. I am keen to check it out and start a shopping list myself.
