Sorry for bumping an old thread, but we got the exact same issue in the gcc spec Z's and G's. What we have is DVD based navigation, RCA inputs with no USB or Ipod connectivity and Bose 10 speaker audio with 6 CD changer but with no hard disk or memory card (07-09 G's had those).
Does anyone have a list of parts required for conversion to hard disk/music box and ipod integration? I found a few items such as AUX control unit (ipod integration i'm assuming?) and the HD main unit but not sure if we are required to use the HD unit for ipod integration.
