QLD Z CAR CRUISE - WEDNESDAY 9th SEPTEMBER 7PM
 

Details so far: ( I will keep updating this post as we firm up more details)

WHEN: Wednesday 9th September 7PM

WHERE: Meet at BP Yatala

WHO: ALL owners of a Z car (370, 350, 300 etc...)

THE CRUISE: 96km all up

Start: BP Yatla 7PM

Cruise Inland to Tamborine via Cedar Creek

From Tamborine head to Mt Tamborine via eagle heights

From Mt Tamborine down the hill into Tallai where we will go to The Panorama

From The Panorama head to Gold Coast Hwy via Robina.

From Gold Coast Hwy cruise through Broad Beach and Surfers

From Surfers to the Broad Water Car Park to finish up and take photos.

Your thoughts?

Bring: A full tank of gas, cameras if you want photos, a good attitude and any friends you have that are Z owners. Radios ?

I'm good for the 9th of September. I finish work that morning but can get some zzzz's in during the day LOL. I'm easy on where we go also.

Not having done a mid week cruise myself before i dont really know where a good place to go is. Hopefully Elliot and CLinton can come along also.

We might even be lucky enough and the exhausts might have turned up by then. If they have maybe adjust the date to Thursday and we might have been able to get them installed :happydance:. If not Wednesday is cool.

Will adjust date if the exhaust arrives. Nop point cruising if the parts are sitting in the garage.

If they arrive on Monday-Tuesday and depending on how it takes for the guys ti install it. We could hopefully get the cars done over Wednesday and Thursday, then say do the Cruise Thursday night.

Speculation at this point, but would be pretty cool to do the cruise with the Exhausts just put in.

Sounds good. I am thinking a 7pm meet at Yatala? Could go Mt Tamborine way?

I'm good with that. That would be an awesome run with the Exhausts on going through the Hills:tup:.

Hey gromano, there's not a huge difference in the sound with the intakes on. Yes it does give a slightly deeper growl when you have your foot in it, but when just cruising it does sound stock which is good.

The main benefit is that it does breathe better and gives a slight power increase and helps with throttle response. As for a reminder if you havn't given the other guys your mobile already just PM me and i'm sure one of us will give you the heads up.

Hey James, i haven't noticed any other QLD's post on here besides the above. Although any more are more than welcome. We should be able to get some nice shots also somewhere along Mt Tambo.

Would you like to keep the cruise just for 370s?

If we wanted more cars to come along I could open it up to 350s and 300zx as well?

Otherwise we can just have us. Let me know your thoughts.

Suggested route for the cruise ? Or stop off points?

Ideally would like a good driving route but also a couple of spots decent for photos bearing in mind it will be night time.

I'm easy on wherever we go. I've only done MtTambo once a few years ago in my MX5.

Yeah might have to stop off at Jay Car/DSE for a couple of Two Ways. If we have the exhausts by then (will be a close call) i'll try and get my friends Video Camera so we can do some drive by's etc.

I would also possibly suggest keeping routes to PM's for certain reasons;). Ellz you've done a few cruises havnt you. Also gromano I have no probs in dropping around as well if you like after work one night.

Any Z's a fine IMHO, I wouldn't mind seeing the older makes myself.

I am member on Boost, but never thought of looking at the others. So thanks James for pointing them out mate.

It just because certain "services" troll that website and will make sure they have a car present on the cruise incase there was any spirited driving.

Not that there will be any reckless driving, but being hasseled can be a downer on a cruise.

On the cruise so far we have

2 x 260Z
1 x 280Z
1 x 300Z
3 x 350Z
5 x 370Z

Still a week and a half away do im sure we will get some more !!!

Very nice. Highly unlikely that a 240z would come (so rare now) but damn that would be good.

Anyone have any input on where we could cruise to after meeting at BP Yatala?

Ideally a mixture of some great driving roads and good stop areas for taking photos.
