Just sent the car in for the first oil change after 2200km. Still wonder why Nissan suggest change after 6mths/10,000km mark? Got them to change it to a Greddy oil

1st oil change
Just sent the car in for the first oil change after 2200km. Still wonder why Nissan suggest change after 6mths/10,000km mark?
Got them to change it to a Greddy oil filter and Mobil 1 oil, all up $170. Starting to think I won't go back to Nissan service if I can get a better and cheaper service elsewhere. Any suggestions for Adelaide? Engine does feel smoother after the oil change, now just waiting for my K&N air filters to arrive.
