Most of the options only work when the car is stationary. Don't worry. I thought I was going crazy too...

Yep thats it. It's a bit annoying, but you get used to it. The compass feature is handy.

Compass handy? It's great at telling me which way I'm not travelling when I'm going a direction I didn't know I was travelling! Lol

Yeah? and? where else can you buy something that tells you where you're not going? I think it's a cool feature... maybe it's giving you a ghost lap for the top time around the block that you have to beat...

Lame. What if you have a passenger who can enter stuff in? Having a babysitter in the vehicle sure is getting old.

It does show where your Home address is as a Flag...it's more of a interesting novalty feature than handy.

True. I wonder if this is just Australian regulations gone mad? Is this speed lock "feature" on the NAV the same the states? I reckon theirs would be unlocked. I once saw a steering wheel desk for sale in the states. WTF?

LOL. Heard about this steering wheel stuff on Top Gear when they had Jay Leno on the show. Never thought it was for-real. It really is the "land of the free"

I've got to believe that the desk was designed for use when the car is stationary. Anytime you needed to use a laptop in a car I could see this being useful. The problem is that people are not smart enough to think for themselves, and someone would try using it in peak-hour traffic.
