Default Nav system issues

Having issues with my Nav system . resets while driving (maybe every 2nd or 3rd day), bluetooth quality is poor & disconnects after 5-10 mins regardless of phone used etc etc ...

Looking through the forums, there were two firmware updates to rectify these faults in North America - the latest issued Jan 2013.

When I contacted a local dealer in Brisbane, the firmware updates are not available in Australia and their policy is to verify the issues then order a replacement. As the issues can be a little random (except the poor bluetooth quality), this means many trips to log the faults then another to fit a replacement unit.

Anyone experienced similar issues? If so, what was your resolution? If I could find the firmware online, I'd risk doing it myself but .. its a no show

What year 370Z do you have? I have just gotten off the phone with my local dealer (Duncan Nissan in Perth, WA) regarding some problems my 2009 is having.

Whilst I don't see Bluetooth issues, I have seen:
  • North orientation changing (track car position vs. always north)
  • Address book sort order being forgotten
  • Time to destination (12 minutes) vs. time at destination (9:15PM) randomly changing
There is a firmware update for 2011+ which has an SD card for data, but mine uses a DVD player mounted behind the driver's seat. The map updates (v19 from March 2013) doesn't have firmware updates with it and is only mapping data.

I have my car booked in for next week to have them look at the GPS under the extended Nissan warranty and will report back their findings.

Can you give more information around the firmware updates you found for the US models?
