Stuff it! I reckon Stillen, as I would just be taking a gamble with the FI especially as I dont think I will get to see a vid with the right combo (18" resonator, original CAT) not to mention I think it a bit ricey/bling from the rear Yeah Stillen for me |

Yeah I'm leaning more towards the stillen now too. I've had a look at a few photos of the FI and it does look a little low in the back and ricey as well... it probably wont get down my driveway with the FI
So i'm most likely gonna get the stillen cat back and I want the berk HFC's |

So I would say just normal driving, there is bugger all noise and drone (as heard when on the freeway and shows the speedo). Then you have the bit when he hits the tunnels. The windows are down and drops a gear or 2, then guns it. Any CBE will be louder than stock, more so if HFC are installed. As i mentioned before thats the great thing about all these options, there really is something for everyone. My other reason for my choice, is i will go down the "Forced Induction" route one day and the FI exhaust will benefit me there more so as well. Quote:

This is the link to all their 370Z Products. Under exhaust it does appear they have the Stillen CBE. Heres a link for QLD based guys for what mods can be done and what needs to be done HERE (PDF 546kb).

MrBMW
Can you elaborate on why the FI exhaust will better suit Forced Induction over the Stillen, as after coming out of a 350rwkw XR6 Turbo I may one day go supercharger or the likes. Cheers Quote:

I am calling them tomorrow to book in my 1000km service, so I will ask as well. I'll ask if they will install the parts themselves and sign off on the warranty before hand. I know the manager so I will get a straight answer. |

If not, we can take it to where i took my 350, he was really careful with installing the exhaust and a bit of a perfectionist too... so i'll trust him with the 370 |

Re parts install and warranty sign-off - I'm still waiting on an email reply from the manager at Blackburn but I'm going in on Wednesday for my initial service, so I'll speak to him in person.

Cool, well let us know how you go, I'm not sure if their email addresses are correct because it looks like Blackburn haven't updated their contacts page in ages.. I once tried to email the service dept. but it bounced back.

The response is summarised to this - The car is yours so you can fit any part you like and it won't void the warranty directly. However, if a part is fitted such as an exhaust which is known to burn out the exhaust valves, we may not warranty the engine in the event of failure. If the windscreen wiper motor failed, this would still be covered as an exhaust modification is unrelated. It all means that they hold the right to reject a claim that can be linked to the modification, but unrelated failures will be covered as expected. Fair enough I guess. The sales manager then said, "we are by the book on this stuff but it's up to you if you want to take the risk. Plenty of guys bring in modified Nissans which is fine" I think I'll wait another few months before modding it though as I want to ensure everything is well bedded in case a warranty claim is needed. I also asked about getting the 19" as a special order and maybe even the Nismo 19" which he said is possible, but would have to confirm. I'll email him on that now. |
