haha Yeah we'll do a "slow super cruise" every night. I was thinking more like eastern suburbs to Mt Dandenong, over the top and around the back to Silvan and then back around to the burbs. That way it's about a 100km round trip that will vary the rpm's and engine load quite a lot. Not sure about cutting laps of Chapel and St Kilda!!! haha Where do you live again? I am in Hughesdale/Oakleigh area. Im keen |

Yeah thats awesome dude, I'm in Doncaster and totally up for it man, I'm sure we'll both just wanna drive the car no matter where we go.
Not fussed at all where we go, I was just thinking st kilda cos it was a nice varied run in via freeway hoddle etc, and I always used to take my 350 down there for a drive..... Now we just have to play the waiting game haha. when was ur estimated delivery again? |

He said early August for mine...but who knows.
When talking about the delivery date the dealers always break the news gently by lying. "I'll have it here in a few weeks....well maybe by the end of July....at the very latest, August. Yeah it'll be August." |

Hopefully your car is sooner rather than later. As above, I agree. I'm leaving the handling side of things alone till I do some track/hill climb runs, mainly to make sure that I will see a benefit (time wise) in going aftermarket. As for rims, I'm staying with 18's and probably just go a Nice Light aftermarket set.

Yep exhaust is Number 1 for sure. Still waiting on a shipping price for group buy and I'll let u know when I find out.
I'll be keeping the stock rims for a while too. I already have an amp and subs that I had in my 350 so all set with system too just gotta work out the wiring in the boot on the 370. |

I cant imagine the wiring would be that difficult. I assume the wiring diagram would be in the Service manual that can be found on the website.

Well I've been after the stillen cat back and the stillen g3 intakes, they get pretty pricey for delivery.... so I'll see what they can get back to me with.
I also emailed Hitech mufflers to see if they were making one anytime soon but didn't get a reply so i doubt it. I had their exhaust on the 350 which had a really nice sound. I'm just trying to sort out the wiring going into the stock sub location. The amp for the subs is actually in the black container with the subs and I think from memory there were 6 wires leading in the, so i need to suss out the trigger, and inputs etc... i'll have a look at the service manual though... hopefully its in there |

As for the stereo, i will be doing something eventually. I have had thought about possibly going with some shallow Subs in a box made for the space between the rear strut and wheel arches (i think thats right), then you still have space left for shopping (LOL) and the Baby latch is still accessible. Pic below should explain what i mean.

Yeah well thats what i had done in my 350, I had gotten in an under strut bar box from america which housed 2 10" subs and i had the amp hidden behind the passenger seat in the compartment. I was really happy with that setup... until the 370 came out lol
I emailed zenclosures about the box but i got a wacky price back for shipping, he said like $550 just delivery, he may just not be interested in overseas shipping, as the box i got for the 350, cost me only about $75 and it was the same size if not bigger. Its a real bummer too because zenclosures have a nice upward firing box for the 370 which could mount an amp facing the hatch... would be perfect |

How does the stock BOSE system sound? I never tested it on the test drive but saw the little sub inside the spare wheel.
If you go an aftermarket box, amp and 10-12" sub that will add a lot of weight over the rear... Is it worth it? Darren waits to be told "You can never have enough bass!" just my 2c |

lol yeah engine note is nice, but bass is better
The bose system is pretty good, i pumped it a bit when i was test driving it. All it needs is a bit more oomph for bass (hence the subs lol) I know how good these systems are with extra bass because my 350 one, which wasnt as powerful as the 370 unit sounded great with the extra subs. All i did was change the head unit and add the subs. The stock speakers and boss amp were doing the rest, and it sounded perfect... |
