wow look like everyone got a good deal.
CHZ - that is a very good price. i live near Birghton Nissan and they wouldnt bother look at me when i enquired abt the car. I guess it is their loss. A fren of mine that bought the 350z off me came to look at the new murano for his wife and they didnt bother to serve him..until they saw him drove away with the 350z then they called him to come back to test drive it...I am sure you know what he said then. Anyway I got a murano and 370z at home and both bought elsewhere. Yutzi - i havent have a good experience with Werribee Nissan lately. Got my tinting and rear parking assist done through them as part of the package. Trim was not put back properly when i picked up the car, window tinting peeling on my side. What worst was that i left the car with them for whole fri last wk to get the tinting fix up, told me it all done and when i picked up the car, it was still there. They deny any wrong doing. Come on..if you outsource something, you better check it when it come back to the workshop to make sure it done properly dont you agree? anyway the zed is good |

Great to see a lot of people are getting a pretty good price.
I think I've gotta do something about the "sucka" look I must have on my dial. Looks like I've been ripped badly at 73,500. Mind you, I traded in my 19yr old RX7 and got $5500 for it and it had a *lot* of problems, pity whoever buys it. ha ha. With the Shopping Trolley trade in at $17k I paid about a $51k change over price. The one thing I was reasonably happy about was the comprehensive insurance at $1086 per annum from CommInsure. Usual stuff like wont lose no-claim bonus if at fault, $500 excess, choice of repairer. My Shopping Trolley (Ford Fiesta) was around $700 a year. when I hear of ppl around 20 getting the Z I bet the insurance is a lot more than $1k a year! G

Here's my dodgy trick...
Pay the dealer a cash deposit of a few grand so that the total price of the car before taxes is a dollar under the luxury car tax threshold of $57,180.

Thinking about how the street prices have come down since they were first released in May or thereabouts I suspect it has more to do with the aussie dollar firming up against the yen and the $USD. Its about $1AUD = 88 yen the pther day and thats firmed up from 60yen or so earlier in the year.
Given around a two month lead time from manufactuer to delivery and the $AUD appreciating a lot since we started jacking up the cash rate, it might be a really good time to buy in March next year. Woo Hoo. Maybe if the Nismo model comes here I'll trade up! G
