This completes my package except for the 19's lol and yes one day they will be mine hehehehe. Good to see you are in Brissy too. We will definitely have to organise a cruise as soon as mine arrives - hit Cootha Glorioius etc. Take a spin through Cunungra across some of my old army stomping ground! Boys only trip! Its funny how you were looking at the 135i, Z4 etc. I was also looking at the EVO and 335i, as well as the cars you were looking at - youtube copped a floggin! I too was ready to buy earlier this year but wanted to see what this car was like. As soon as I drove it - bang - had to have it. Look forward to catchin up! By the way - how is the manual, I have only driven the Auto? When I drove the 370z old memories from my youth started to flood back with relation to my old S15 200sx an '04 350z.

Clint
Hi Clint,

What were you quoted for the reversing cam? I've currently got the park assist on order and may have to cancel that if the cam is a better option.

Can you give the details on the iphone connector and reversing camera? The iphone on bluetooth really needs to be plugged in, you can almost watch the battery guage drop.

Thanks,

George

Hey congrats on the purchase George. You pretty much describe the way i went about this purchase as well. Was almost like an impulse buy at Woolies (I'll have a $70k Mars Bar thanks).

Hey Clint, i'm sure you wont regret the camera mate. I almost dead set want to drive in Reverse just for fun LOL. As for the manual, it by far is the better option IMHO. I have always had manuals and the wife autos (except SP23). I first test drove the 370 in Auto guise. If thats all it came in, i would be more than happy. Then i went (got taken) for a drive in a Manual version and wouldnt look back.

Hey Rudi. Hopefully this answers some for you and others as well. The Camera and iPod/iPhone connector where installed by Gold Coast Car Sound as a "Dealer" (not Nissan) option. On the sales invoice the Camera was listed as $600 and the iPod was $295. In saying that they could be more or less if installed "Aftermarket" and where you get it done.

See above. If anyone wants more views of the Camera/iPod let me know.

Thanks for the feedback. How well is the Ipod Connectivity with the head unit? Does it display album and song info? Can it be controlled through the head unit.

Be interested to know. Thanks for letting me know about the aftermarket and pricing. Ill just get the dealers to do it, pay their margin. Its all about time at the moment but i will forward the info to them.

Not a problem Clint. Thats what these forums are for and should be for. To help each other as Much as possible.

The Connectivity is great so far. I have used both my 5.5th gen 80gig iPod and 3G iPhone so far. At the moment i have only literally just had podcasts go through the system and one Video (to test). Otherwise i have been playing with the rest of the car and working unfortunately.

If i may ask, which dealership you going through.

Hey Clint. I had first went to Keema myself, based on the recommendation of Ellz (sry if I got the name mixed up). Both sales people I spoke to and dealt with were very helpful and professional. They just couldn't quite match the deal Highway Nissan were able to offer. They were very close without "MY" little extras that got added. Keema were then unable to get them done and added to the fact I would have to wait.

Waiting wouldn't have been a big deal when you are talking this type of money IMHO. But the fact that Highway gave great service along with having a Car in stock, with the extras really tipped the scales.
