When you say 71k retail is that including on-road costs and dealer delivery? I also think it's a pity this car doesn't have a reverse camera considering the blind spots. Did you happen to ask if the 19 inch wheels are available as an option? A dealer at Brighton said the 19s would still be available from the spare parts department... not sure if this is possible though as every other dealer seems to think otherwise.
I drove that yellow one at Blackburn and saw a white one that was sold in the showroom. Yeah the white is nice and was my choice, but Im going with Platinum now with GT30's.

I know for a fact that the 2010 "facelift" will have the 19's just for marketing purposes.....but thats it. I'm not sure about the other options. A reversing camera would be nice. Im definitely ordering the parking sensors.

The price was $71k on road. I am actually doing a ring around tomorrow, so will let you know. The problem I have with purchasing this car is it's over the luxury car tax threshold, so a bit of creative financing is in order.

Yeah I've driven that yellow one too lol, I'm curious as to why the white one has been there for so long when it's been sold...

So the 19's are gonna be available in 2010? hmmm pretty damn annoying. I wonder how much extra they'll charge for them...

I doubt they would bring the reverse camera here, we don't have the same head unit as Japan/US models. From what I've learnt about rear visibility in the 350z and how bad it is in the 370, I'm definately getting the sensors.....

Interesting. Did someone from Nissan Australia tell you this? If the second model year begins in September (not sure?) when do you think they'd got on sale in Australia? 2010 or late this year? Wondering if I should wait or not.

Price update - $65,250 is my best price so far. Going in this weekend to confirm and place the order.

Another tip....the luxury car tax theshold is about $62,898, so if you pay the dealer a few grand on the side, he invoice the car for just under that price and save you even more robbos!

Is that for manual or auto? If manual, could probably get them to throw in a free set of floor mats and tint.

I thought the threshold was $57,180.00 for 2008-2009 financial year?

So whats the best way to get the best deal? I've been quoted 75K for the manual drive away. My plan was to offer 70K or i walk away.

Is everyone saying that this can be beat?
GTRFAN you mentioned about getting the dealer to invoice the purchase for under the LCT threshold and then pay a certain amount with cash on the side?
Can you elaborate on this and how to go about, and can others offer advise on obtaining best deal. My feeling is, because its a rare car, discounts are hard to come by

I would be paying about 30K Cash and the rest would come from Car Loan

Thanks

This can definitely be beat...
I paid significantly less than what you've quoted and managed to get them to throw in tinting and floor mats.

Just ring a few dealers, ask for a quote, then actually go to them and do the whole 'lets sit down and talk' routine. Expect that they'll quote you RRP and then counter offer with a similarly ridiculous offer. Don't budge unless they give you a better offer, otherwise walk.

They'll eventually call you back offering better prices. I was still getting phone calls from six different dealers a week after I'd taken delivery of the car...

Yeah you can definately get lower than 70 drive away, I hadn't really started bargaining and was already well below that....

I want to order this month too, if people could post their lowest drive away price they have gotten that would be good. So far went one place and he said 70k drive away for a manual one, without batting an eyelid and said he throw in some things for me so i assume still alot of margin to play with. Really wanna know im getting a good deal.

Does the aussie version 370Z have the garage door opener? I think it's meant to be near the interior rearview mirror or something.

The feature you're talking about is the Homelink system on the American touring packages I believe. Unfortunately it isn't included in the Australian model, which is a shame, since I can actually see a use for it.

Currently my garage remote sits in the cup holder or in the arm-rest storage space, which barely holds an iPod as it is... Damn inconvenient
