tuan0011 looks like if we rev the 370z engine like the rotary (ala like a sports car should be driven) it is going to get all hot and limp! The crap 18" wheels and the chronic engine overheating issue in the US are holding back my purchase.

Hmmm there's not many other cars to choose from in this category. Maybe a Cayman for double the price?
I'm also hesitating due to the same reasons. Maybe the 2010 model will have the oil problem fixed and some nice 19" wheels. |

Congrats Ellz! What colour...
I second that. Just had a look at the wheels...sad. Especially for Japanese car @ 70k. I don't plan to track (that's what i said about rx8 too) but it'd be nice to know a sports car could handle it straight out of the box. There's the S3 and 135i, no looker, but the quality and the fact that they're Euro is tempting. The new Z4 is quite something too imo. A 2010 RX7 would make the choice much easier for me. |

Tuan. Love the rx8 - it is hard to give up. Doing a 370z track day/test drive at oran park on 22 May. If the engines don't overheat (and are not modified with extra oil coolers) i might make the switch. Will report back on how it goes.
Funny how the 370z is overheating in the US after a few minutes of spirited driving- just got the rx8 back from car service and the mazda guys tell me i need to redline the engine more! That's more like it! |

OoOo GTC's...happy days then ellz! I think the offset on the fronts of 370 are a tad weaker compared to the 350z. is that true ellz?
z88m look forward to hearing your review. I enjoyed the fact that the rx8 could hammer 10 laps at a time without brake fade/engine problems. I expect the 370z to do at least that given its credentials. |

After goin through 6 different dealers, only 1 dealer stood out from all the others.
Most offer 74ish, with 2 exceptions. Highway Nissan for 71k and Keema Nissan Logan Road Mt Gravatt for much less again. At the other dealers I only ever spoke to the sales reps (fair enough, they look at me and see a young driver possibly only tire kicking). Kemma Nissan I was lucky enough to speak with the owner who insisted on meeting up with me for coffee the very same day i sent the email. He met me 2 hours later across the road from my work in the city. After he bought me a beer we did the negotiations on buying the z34 and trading in my z33. I am now getting a deal that i can only discribe as a 'mates rates' deal. But i challenge any of you who purchased a japanese or domestic car out there that got better service from their dealer. The dealer did everything they could for me including giving me a run about car while i move houses when i trade my 350z in and before i receive the 370. From my experience they sell you a car then wave you goodbye hoping to never see you again. But the effort Keema Nissan put in is worth every $. If you live in Brisbane and you want a 370z. Kemma Nissan Logan Road, Mt Gravatt. |

Ellz - congrats. I know what you mean about the dealers. Most i've contacted haven't got back to me with info and don't seem to know much about the car!
Do you guys know how an ipod connects in the aussie model? I think the US spec had a direct ipod connection in the center console but ours doesn't (unless i'm mistaken?). It has the Audio L/R and Video connection in the center console, and I think an AUX input in or near the glovebox? |

I'm guessing it's not a direct connection like the US because they have the hard drive and unfortunately we don't. Not sure why they changed that to DVD based Nav. I liked the idea of loading music onto the hard drive and not even needing the ipod.
