Default Thoughts after 10,000km service

Hi guys just had my service done today for 10,000km at werribee nissan. Thought i'd share my experience. Told them about the last fuel light and boot stuck issue. Got some bs after saying boot hinge had been oiled and fuel sensor computer should be fixed so no more issues. Wrong on both accounts boths still f$%cked but will look into this next time as im lazy to go back.

However on a good note after having the service i feel the car really does seem to run alot better, revving out to redline seems so smooth an easy, was so fun driving around today Wonder if its my imagination or after an oil change it really does feel that much better.

Just picked up my car after the 1000km service. Dropped the car off at 8:30am and picked it up at 12:30pm. Im sure it only took them 5 mintes to print out the diagnostics and attach it to the paper work so was quite annoyed when it wasnt ready at 11:00 as promised.

Service centre also washed the car but it was a half arsed job, some sections cleaned and other missed completely. My nissan experience has started on a low and im not looking forward to any future services.

Absolutely, agree with you, Jekel. I assume that we're in different states, but I reckon service at Nissan service centres are shocking. But it is up to us to let them know how unhappy we are.

Had my 10,000km service 2 weeks ago, they charged AUD 380, which is steep even considering I requested a injector system flush and Mobil 1 oil. Only 2 reasons I went back to them: 1. Nissan service Stamp, 2. Have not found another service centre close to my area, with good reviews

But a customer service consultant called me about 3 days later to find out if I was satisfied with the service; and I immediately thanked her for calling, coz I had been wondering how I could feedback the negatives of the experience I had. So I urge everyone who have had a negative experience at Nissan service centres to find out who your customer service consultant is and let them know.

BTW, anyone know a good mechanic around Payneham area in SA?

Might be worth asking that question here too: Z Club - Australia's Premier Nissan 370Z and Nissan 350Z Forum

They use a much thinner oil as it's run in now, so the engine can spin up with less resistance when hot. Thats why most performace engines go for a wide range 5-50 fully synthetic.

They also clear the ECU learned maps as I saw the line item on my invoice. I now always request an ECU reset, as it makes a big difference going from Summer (hot air, low oxygen, less timing to avoid detonation) into Winter (cold, dense air, more aggressive advanced timing). It affects the tune based on your throttle position and timing advancement, which give you that nice responsive snap, or sluggish delayed feel. I used to do this myself with a timng light on the old mechanical distributers on previous cars and run some crazy advanced timing just before it pinged.

my 2c anyway

Oh by the way, I could never get Evans secret ECU pedal press method to work to reset the ecu???
