Thieves ruined my day
Okay here is the back story,
Today the wife decides she needs to get a few things from the shops, we drive down in my Z. I park the car and head inside, would of spent nearly an hour inside. I return to the car at about 4pm so its daylight.. I jump in and place the car in reverse, I look down to the in car screen which normally displays whats behind me via the reverse camera, but the screen stays black. Figured thats odd, so anyhow I reverse and continue driving. At the next traffic lights i place the car in reverse to test it again and the screen remained black. I pulled over to check the camera and I notice that some prick has removed half the camera, leaving the lens only. I also notice that my rear right plate light has been opened with the plastic and globe missing. they have removed the rear plate which holds the plate light, then the globe to remove part of the reverse camera, now i dont know how much damage to the camera there is..i dont know what parts are missing. how do i replace that plastic the holds the light for the rear plate? also the camera thing, anyone know what brand they are when you get it as an upgrade from nissan? |

Ah that really sucks! I didn't even know the nissan stock nav package had a back-up camera with it.
I was cleaning mine a few days ago an noticed someone stole ONE of my valve stem caps....... Why? Punk *** little kids riding their bikes around my car while I was running track no doubt. Luckily I was only out 3$ |

OP. I'm not sure if the lamps are the same in Australia, but here's a link to the U.S. lamp. 266 Licence Plate Lamp :: Body Electrical :: Genuine Nissan Parts :: 370Z Parts (Z34) 2009-2010 :: Nissan Parts, NISMO and Nissan Accessories - Courtesyparts.com |

Sorry to hear mate.
From what I know, all rear cam options are aftermarket in Aus. Your dealer would have most likely got the work done by an outside source. Just ask them who they sent the car to, and get them to have a look.
