Lowering Options... downunder
Hey fellas,
Just wondering what people in Aus have done in regard to springs/coilovers and lowering their Z's... Everyone seems to go for the Eibach kit who isnt worried about tracking their cars... anyone got them? How much did it cost all up to get them in Australia and fitted? I know some people are looking for coilovers too though, hmmm too many options? Group buys anyone?? |

HI Grom,
I've got the Eibach Pro-Kit Springs and Eibach Pro-Alignment Rear Camber Kit on and it is REALLY low (a pic is in tht black 370z thread). I purchased it through Margaret at Stillen (fantastic lady to deal with!) and the prices are: Springs = $231USD, Camber = 166.07USD. I am unsure how much to install as I got mine done with spacers. I hope this helps..

+1 rep for you :P So you bought it from STillen US direct im assuming? How much was postage and the likes? IS the camber kit really required with the springs do you think? Does the camber kit make it lower or did you get it coz the tyres were wearing thin. ITs my Daily Driver so dont want anything too crazy that will chew rubber! But want it lower!!!!! :S hmmm |

You definately need the rear camber kit!! You can't dial it in enough with the stock setup. Fronts are not required. Purchases were from stillen direct who shipped it free to my bongo address in Connecticut. From there I bundled it with a heap of stuff and sent it here. Not bloody cheap! Especially with the customs fees etc. My advice is to order direct from Margaret and get her to fed ex off-peak to your address. If you ask her nicely, try asking her to include a letter stating materials and made in USA (which will bypass most customs charges as we have an embargo with the US). When I stop driving my car, and the weather gets better, I'll take a heap of pics and update my journal.

The thread my pic is in is: Black 370 It's the small pic that I posted but it expands. I'm not a fan of the stillen kit as I have my heart set on getting the amuse kit over (hopefully next year).

I might just go for the Nismo coilovers.
Our cars alright sit very low. The Nismo coilovers only drop it by 10mm I'm always after the best street driving performance for the real world. Last edited by EVL370; 05-14-2010 at 02:17 AM. |

Hey Majestik,
Seen that you are the suspension expert, would you recommend the camber kits for someone who has the occasional track day on standard suspension? I don't want to lower the suspension, but want to make it use the tyres a little better on track. |

I'm afraid others like evan, bgtv8, waqar etc can help you more with your query.
