Bluetooth Audio and changing the RCA to USB
Is it just me or while the Aussie 370Z seems to have all the features of the "top" models overseas, we are missing out on a lot of the details...
Maybe I just haven't worked out how to use it, but can anyone get Bluetooth audio to work? It just doesn't seem to be enabled for me. Tell me I'm a dill and I have just missed something obvious (or point me in the right direction). Also, failing that does anyone know if it is possible to change the RCA to the USB connector? Just thinking about this logically, it seems unlikely that Nissan would have a different stereo for the Australian market, so the only difference should be some connectors? Yeah? Anyway, I couldn't find this discussed for the Aussie 2010 370Z, but if it has, please point me the right way. |
ohhh, and it really annoys me that we don't get airconditioned seats, considering how hot Australia gets. Our seats also don't look as good as some of the overseas models, and only one choice of colour... GRRRR.

tell me about it!! grrr.... how much u get your roadster for?? im looking at buying one shortly

I Just picked up my 2010 Bordeaux coupe yesterday and I can assure you that
the blue tooth system works well and allows you to download your phonebook. I have had no end of problems with my iphone in other cars because it was deemed to be incompatible...!! Not in my 2010 370Z Nissan system though.... Works brilliantly and integrates perfectly.. Highly recommended....You can actually set up 5 different phones..(you can only access 1 phone at a time though)...... |

I haven't tried downloading the phonebook yet though. Thanks for the heads up on that, i'll give it a go later. |

Very interested to see how you go. That's the only thing bugging me...
... well, that and the fact we don't get airconditioned seats, or the option of different seat trimmings and roof colours. But it's ok, I guess they are rather minor and the car is still kick arse. |
Guys we can't get bluetooth streaming here. This was a feature on the 2010 models in the states I believe. I'm pretty certain this isn't the case in Australia.... bloody wish it was though :(
|
Thanks Evse, I just wanted someone else to confirm it because I've found no reference to it in any Australian documentation, and I couldn't get it working when I was playing around with it.
Soooo next question is, does anyone know if we can easily change our stereos to have USB? Failing that, I know the CD player does MP3s, but not sure if it does ACC for itunes. I have a few CDs burnt here, just waiting to get home from work to try it out later. |
I just picked up my 2010 quartz today and I can't find the streaming either

Hey guys,
Am expecting delivery of my 370z in 2 weeks. Can't wait! Just wanted to weigh in on the USB issue. It bugs me that the capability to hook the ipod in isn't available. But I had the same logical thought as Chilliwilli, that the head unit can't be too different, it may just be a bit of cabling! So, when the car comes in, I'm getting the dealer to have a good play around to see what can be done to get the USB in. I'll be sure to let you guys know what I find out... |
Hey mate congrats, unfortunately the units are different. The US spec unit has a hard drive and extra outputs for the USB connection. They are actually different physical units. What u need is the ipod interface which plugs into the unit. It's about 150 or 200 from memory...

Do you know where to get the ipod interface?
