Servicing Interval, need to take it in?

Hi guys

Car is up for the 10,000k service on the 17/03/10.....i've only done 5000km though. Reckon i still need to take it in?

Zaggeron 03-09-2010 10:33 PM

I don't have the manual handy, but these things are usually specified as "whichever comes first" so it's probably something like 6 months or 10,000K. I never reach the miles specified in my cars so I always go by the months since last service

Nah don't bother, I had my 350z for 2 years and went through 2 services only. The 6 month thing is pretty much just to make extra money... leaving it too long used to cause water condensation or something in the oil which rarely happens now (only after years or something)....

I'll take the car in every six months for my dealer double warranty...

My dad had a maxima before and only took the car in yearly and used mobile 1. 5 years on and it was fine.

The GOR trip will get yo a little closer...

Can they refuse warranty service if you can't prove you followed the maintenance schedule?

Dad had issues with his eletric mirror but they didn't refuse warranty... though if you turned up and it was drive train problems... maybe they would...

Always throught VW service was a ripoff but realised they're awesome cause they only need servicing once a year...
