Do us a favour, if they write off the car, send us those LED's on the headlights? hahahahhaahha Then go buy another Z for $65k and with the extra $15,000.... well perhaps you should invest in a small boat... or at least a jetski... ;-) Hope its all fixed up soon mate. |

Sorry to hear about your car dude, but we all know you really wanted a Roadster.

Thanks all for your advice and support. I've dropped it off for an RACV eval and at least I've got a nice loan car (Statesman=Huge) until it's sorted.
I've definately got hydro lock as the oil is all milky and intakes flooded. Advice please. If they are only going to approve an engine replacement, won't it ruin my resale and I'll have 'mismatch' issues? Do you think I can argue the point and try and get a pay out? I'm thinking worst case scenario. I knew I should've opened the door and let the flood in... |

I just dropped by my dealership and my mate's getting back to me on best prices for: 09 370, roadster, 2010 370 with 19"s. Depending on price (and RACV pay out) I've got a few options with 78K. Fingers crossed. Guys, is it seriously that p00fy to by a roadster? |

It would have been a done deal if the interior was also wet and the roof was hit by the hail stones that day....
The Roadster just looks a bit wrong. It's not gay, it's just a bit non-hetro. (not that there's anything wrong with that) I'd get a 2010 Coupe with 19" in White.

19"s, graphite and a good price might sway me. Too right about the shape though. With the roof on it looks odd. The rear window is really low... |

Well it looks better than the 350z Roadster thats for sure. I drove behind one the other day and it seemed ok. Just keep in mind it isn't a performance oriented as the coupe is.
So when will you find out about the extend of the damages? |

Performance orientated? Write ups say it's only 55kg heavier than coupe and same rigidity and performance as it was designed as a roadster from get go. I'm getting prices tomorrow so I'll work it out then. |

yep, 55kg (thats pretty much an extra person in the car all the time - probably more weight than what they saved using aluminium body panels), +.02 coefficient of drag, no rear spoiler or chin spoiler, higher fuel consumption and same rigidity? i'd say similar even if they say same..... it suits you though. :P

probably the best metallic colour I've seen on a car. Best of all the soft top matches it brilliantly. I'm yet to get a final price on my requests but a manul he sold went for 73k on road. Also if I want an 2010 coupe it's gonna be a wait of a few months!! |
