Default ipod Interface and Reverse camera interface

Hi Guys

I am waiting to receive my 2010 Z, and was disapointed to find out there is no ipod interface. So I did some searching and found 2 interesting sites.

1.iPod Integration for your car and More by Pac-Audio - Connecting you to the future

They do supply an interface which you may be able to hook up to the stock radio. They do state that the stock Radio must have a "SAT" button or have "CH", "CHANNEL", "CAT" or "CATEGORY" printed somewhere on the face of the radio to be compatible. Do these exist on the Z's radio?
(I have sent an email to the company asking wether their product would be compatible with the Aus 370z)

2. NISSAN 350Z/370Z NAVIGATION VIDEO INTERFACE

If you want to hook up a reverse camera plus a DVD player, this looks like the best and easiest solution out there. Plug and Play - Rediculous!

Cheers

If this gets off the ground should organise group buy

Contact CJ2151.

Clint showed me his reversing camera the other day. Looks sweet. Aftermarket, connected to the Nissan harness so only on in Reverse and does not use the Aux video input. Can't remember the price - $250ish fitted????

Guys the camera is a Pioneer aftermarket fit which connects directly into the current head unit. The camera engages as soon as you shift into reverse (I have a 6MT). As soon as you disengage reverse the camera shuts off and the screen returns to whatever setting you were in previously. The camera does however over-ride any action on the screen once in reverse i.e. you cant select a phone number etc if in reverse.

It is not plugged into the Aux etc as I also have an IPOD jack i.e. it charges my IPOD etc that works through the AUX function. I do however want to get the full connectivity aftermarket. if anybody knows the aftermarket IPOD integration let me know. At the moment I just have aux connectivity using the proper IPOD jack.

The camera was around the 300 mark i think - i forget almost been a 7 months. Gold Coast Car and Sound did both installs at Slacks Creek QLD.

Hope this helps

Keep me posted

CJ
