How long can you store tyres?

Hi guys

Just wondering if you stored tyres in a garage bagged up away from heat etc. How long do you think you can keep them before they start to perhaps go bad?

Reason im asking is saw some stock 370z rims/stock tyres cheap. Almost cheaper that replacing our current stock tyres. Was thinking of buying them to use when mine wear out. Although the way i drive e.g last car in 6 years i replaced tyres once lol...........

I don't really do alot of long distance 20,000km a year if im lucky usually alot less.

I want volks later on but realistically don't think i will have the spare cash next few years for that as i have other things to buy.
