I still reckon it's Shell Optimax that's causing the issues...

yeah, my last light is the only one which doesn't light up now... I'm not too fussed but it's just a little stupid issue.
Also my sensors down work properly anymore, I wonder if it has anything to do with my subs? funny thing is, my boot opens fine from day 1.... |

yeah the tank is like 400km..its smaller then the 350z.
If i drive like an old man and change gears at 2.5RPMS then I crank it to like 500KMs...but there is just too much power to do that constantly..sometimes you just gotta open it up a little to hear it roar. |

I just had the 20K service from Nissan Ryde (NSW) and they charged $303. Also have problem witht he last led in fuel guage which they are ordering the senders to replace.
Also had problem with the drivers Z mat getting a whole worn right through where my clutch heel rests. I can't believe they wear out in 6 months! Maybe I should stop wearing the stillettos when driving! The shop said "thats just normal wear and tear" Are you kidding me? This is my first Nissan and I'll send the whole effing thing back to Mr. Nissan it little pieces if thats their idea of normal wear and tear. After a bit of argy bargy they have decided to replace the mat. That and the fact that Nissan is apparently sending out a survey and maybe they don't want me going berko to head office ! sheeeesh

I've got the top led out on mine and I'll report it to Nissan when the 10K come around. It seems strange to me that mine was OK till I let it get really empty - like 70l fill so there was only about 2l in the tank. As soon as I filled it, the top led didn't come one and this was filling at the same Shell servo I have used since buying the 370.
It's also strange that replacing the senders fixes the problem, for a while at least. I would have thought that if it was a cluster, changing the sender shouldn't make any difference (or am I just being simplistic). Could it be that letting the tank get really low is what's messing up the sender. Those who have had the sender replaced and have had the problem recur, did you let the tank get really low? I think I'll get the sender replaced then not let the tank get much below 1/4 and see what happens. |

Yeah another 370Z with a dodggey fuel gauge issue. I was the first to pick up the Z when it was launched April last year. And it seems like one issue after another.
one: dodgy tiniting. Had to be redone twice Two: Front bonnet didn't align. Nissan dealership tried to fix. Ended scratching the from 2 pillars. Cars had to spend a couple of days being resprayed at a panel shop. Three: Boot hatch was getting stuck. Had to get that fixed as well. Four: Battery manged to **** itself after only 2 months. Lucky it was replaced for free, due to Randwick dealership helping out. Five: The floor mats fell apart after only 5 months of ownership. Got some ordered from the US. Half the price with twice as good quality. Six: despite of all the issues I still love the car. Seven: HOT.370 will be for sale soon as I'm going to upgrade to an R35 GTR. PS. Glad to be part of the forum. |

Yeah I agree totaly the 370z is a stunning looking car.
The issues truly are minor. I have installed a cold air intake and the Hi Tech CBE system. The performance gains where an extra 23.7 horsepower at the wheels. The car for a naturaly aspirated 6, delivers the performance of an HSV. |
