I mentioned the fuel guage issue when i took it in for its 10K service. Service manager told me about the fuel senders when they called to mention my car was ready (after service) to pick up. When at the dealership he mentioned the parts will take 7-10 working days to arrive. Had my car until the parts arrived.
Once parts arrived they had the car for a couple of hours to fit the car in and replace the parts that caused the issue.

All in all pretty happy with the service.

My car has been working perfectly for the last month and a half since the initial problem... for me i figured it was the top part of the sensor being scrubbed a bit after i left the car for two weeks on a business trip...

Anyway it's been 3 weeks since the last refill for me due to another business trip, will see if the last dot survived or not since the last refil

So did you have one sender replaced like Yutzi and now the issue is back? Hmm yeah it looks more like Blackburn were right about some part in the cluster... I'll find out exactly what they said it was. I think both senders in the tank send an electronic signal to the cluster and the electronics interprets both signals and displays the LED and the average fuel, etc.

I really don't want to have my cluster swapped out as the Odometer gets reset and can't be changed. Initially that seems like a free clock wind back, but when it comes time to sell the logs books wont match and it'll look really dodgy even though it's not.

Let me call Nissan and get all the details and then I'll demand a free set of 19" for compensation.

AHAHAH free set of 19"s would be adequate compensation =)

I have a 10k service coming up, i guess I'll take it in to Nissan, and get them to re-fix the hatch springs, look at the senders and do the damn service at a rip-off price... =( The time saving of going to the one place outweighes servicing it else where at the moment. I never had the senders changed up til this point, i got the last light back via techron and 98 octane fuel... but it was only a bandaid fix to a component issue it seems.

If they say they have to reinstall the cluster i'm going to say no thanks...

Not good to hear that the issue hasnt gone away. Ill be keeping a close eye on my fuel guage. I done about 3K since the replacing of the senders and still no problem.
Wont be happy if the issue comes back.

If the issue comes back I'd support you in a plan to severely hurt Nissan Execs... such a basic thing and they **** it up... This is something Hyundai and Proton can do correctly you know? even Tata have fuel guages that work...

FWIW, my gauge has slowly started working fine again. It was perfect until I used a bottle of Techron. Then suddenly on the next fillup, I had the last two lights out (closest to 'full'). With about 4-5 more tanks, first the second to last light came back on, and now they all light up again after a refill. I'm suspicious that the Techron applies a coating to the sensor that F's things up until it dissolves/wears off.

Get the Sobs at Nissan to fix it...

In saying that what made you try techron if it was working fine?

I think the Techron was disscussed in one of the american threads. I tried a bottle and it has actually improved things. I have also switch to BP Ultimate from Shell and I now get all lights on, but mostly just the last one out.

I'm going to let the whole issue go as it doesn't really bother me.

Yeah I have the same problem. My last fuel indicator light doesnt light up. However, what I have noticed is that on the 2nd/3rd drive, the light comes back on!

WTF?

I am starting to just accept it and move on.

Additionally my replaced springs have stuffed up again....

WTF? x 2

Same thing is happening with mine now. I had the senders replaced, working fine for about 6 weeks now. Last light doesnt work now when it is full and then it will come on again after a few starts.

Really frustrating to say the least.
