Hey, well I think mine may make the sound, it is soooo hard to hear it so either, the problem other people are having with this is so miniscule that it isn't even a problem, or the sound I hear is something else.
To be honest I hear an ever so faint high pitched noise, but it could just be coming through the speakers ie alternator whine. I'm pretty much the only one who can hear it though only because I go looking for it... lol I don't think my girlfriend has ever heard it..... nothing to worry about I think. |

Darren and Ben, you'll have the noise, it's very faint but it's there. Doesn't matter if it is LHD or RHD, the issue relates to the ecu. It is really faint you, actually have to pay a lot of attention to it before you actually hear anything and even then your response will be "Is that it?".
I'm guessing the people who are having issues with it, have a much louder noise than mine do. As it stands now, mine is so quiet I don't even notice it unless I try to...for now.... then again I just copped the last fuel light not working too so this may still get louder hahaha I'm thinking most people here dont have a functioning last light on the fuel guage right? That's more of a concern lol |

Are you sure it fills all the way so you can see petrol coming up the filler? If so, then this sounds like this is becoming another common fault. When are you due for the 10k service?

Yep, I had pulled the nozzle out and kept filling. The petrol may have been about 5-10cms below the rim of the tank lid.... Any more and it would have run through the overflow hole. This is definately a fault now. Mine had been working perfect up until then, Ronnie mentioned his one had done this as well, so I'm guessing after some time, they will all begin to fail.... Some people were saying that the sensor may be getting dirty and require an additive to clean but that doesnt seem to be much of a fix....
