Yeah I would definitely say no to King Springs developement, not because they aren't good but because of what you said about them thrashing it around testing the springs. $4000

$4000 for coilovers on a Z is ridiculous. If it were a time attack GTR then maybe, but our Z's are daily cars and not hardcore circuit monsters and probably never will be. There are plenty of decent coilovers from japan in the $1500 range. email this guy as he lives in Japan and can source any part.
