Rear View Mirrors
 

What's the deal with the rear view mirrors? Shouldn't the drivers site mirror be the short view and the passenger side mirror be the long view?

The view out of the Z's driver's seat has more of a blind spot to the left rear quarter than to the right (for left-hand drive). The big mirror on the driver's side, when adjusted properly, eliminates all of the blind spot. I use it a lot. Out the right rear, I can glance through the hatch and in the smaller mirror to check that side.

Do you have the long distance view on your driver side mirror or passenger mirror?

I'm used to having the shorter distance view on the driver side (right side here). I went to turn into a right lane and looking into my driver side rearview mirror it looked like I had plenty of room between me and the car behind but it was much closer when I looked into the left mirror. I'm used to it the other way around.
