Some pics of my Z34

Well I picked her up yesterday and straightly went to Reefton / Marysville / Mt Donna Buang to see what the car is capable of.

What an awesome car, amazing to drive, handle, have fun.

Gets lots of attention on road.

Some quick shots I took during drive with my friend's S2000.

Will be taking more photos preferably night shots sometime in future.

Congrats Waqar, red is the go mate. It took me a while to find my red one, and you are right that you do get lots of glances when you are out driving.

Good stuff. How did the car compare against the Honda?

Sweet pics! Do I read correctly that you are not bothering with a proper break-in? :ugh2:

well I have driven both the Z and S2K on same roads

The S2000 feels twitchy while turning and braking but that's due to my friend car is fitted with big and heavy wheels, I can't say anything about stock s2000. Also, in it you have to be always at high rev range to get most of it else its no fun.

The Z got plenty of torque however if you drive both honda and the Z back to back you'll feel extra weight of the Z. Overall Z is awesome the grip is insane. SRM works perfectly

I am following break in procedure. The V6 under the hood gives you enough response even at low revs to make your drive enjoyable ;)

Congrats and looking good!

My previous car was a Honda s2000. You're friend adding the heavier wheels does offset the dynamics in handling from the stock s2000. It's a really lightweight car with a great power to weight ratio. And I agree, it's definitely more fun to drive that car in the upper rpm spectrum.:icon17:

dont want to start this again - but by "proper" break-in you mean the stuff they put in the owners manual right? LOL

Gee 11-24-2009 07:16 PM

when I was doing the break in 2 months ago, I kept it to no more than 3000 rpm and 100kph for the first 2000 k's. also did an oil change at 2000, 5000 and now have 6200 on the clock and the motor is just starting to lossen up nicely. Only recently have taken her up to 7000rpm and I'm pretty happy with the motors performance.

Similar process for me. It's only now at 8000km that is feels loose and will spin up to redline with ease and all of the reported "harshness" has almost gone.

I really should do another oil change as I last did it at the optional 1000km. I can't believe Nissan say you don't have to change it from new until 10k. Seems a bit long to me.
