Scenic places to take a drive
Howdy everyone. I am hoping to take delivery of my 370z this weekend (fingers and toe crossed).
Was wondering if owners in Sydney can recommend me a few places to do for a drive. Preferably away from busy traffic and someplace I can take a few good shots of the car and also the scenery. I normally take my new cars to Royal National Park for pics and for a enthusiastic drive I go down to Golstone Road. What about you guys? Any fav places that you can recommend for my first drive? Thanks in advance. |

Congrats mate, its gonna be one of the longest few days of ure life
RNPs great, although at times theres too many cyclists spoiling the fun. I'd recommend McCarr Creek Rd in Ku-ring-gai as well for a fun drive, bit narrow but quiet most of the time. Stay away from the old pacific highway up north - used to be a great drive but now they killed it with 60km/h limit and coppers everywhere As for pics I did the northern beaches, but there are some nice industrial settings in ermington/rydalmere for night shots. If you're headin down the RNP you might as well extend ure trip to the sea cliff bridge and along the coastal rds - some very nice scenery and if you have a companion opportunities for very nice motion shots as well and of course we demand pics ASAP Edit: I see ure getting it from Parra as well - they're selling 370's like hot cakes over there. If you run into Mitch let him know Mark said hi : ) Last edited by markymark; 10-14-2009 at 06:19 AM. |

Hey thanks Markymark. The last few have been very long. Lucky I am busy at work and had no time to think out it during work hours. But after work, man it's hard not to look At the calendar and count down the days.
Thanks for the tip for nice drives. I will check them out and post a few pics (hopefully soon). |

Just did the dive to the Wollongong via the Royal National Park. Amazing drive. I always loved that drive. But this time the corners were sweeter and I could keep up with the bikes I have posted a few pics already so have a look if u like.
This weekend I am going to Blue Mountains. Another favourite drives for me. |

Just at Megalong Valley now. First time here. It's a very nice place and a nice change from Katoomba. Went to Leura earlier. It's nice but not great. Just stopped at this nice home style diner - almost looks like a farm house with horses and cattle around the perimeter. Very peaceful and civilized. I am loving it. The drive down to the valley was great. Lots of twists and turns and very green. Only bad thing is the sometimes loose gravel which makes a lot of noise inside the car.
I recommend the drive highly. Last edited by Sap; 11-01-2009 at 03:49 PM. |

when I picked mine up 6 weeks ago I took her on a short round trip... C.Coast, Dubbo, Parkes, Temora, Bathurst, Sydney, C.Coast - just to ease the motor in. Thats about 2000 klicks. Some nice scenery out there. Won't bore you with a lot of pics, but here is one at Parkes Radio Telescope Facility. (I have an interest in astronomy as well as sportscars)
