If you had to spend 400 to 500 bucks

Ok, looking for opinions for 6.5" component speakers for the Z in the 400 to$500 range. These would be purchased online from Wooferetc. or Onlinecarstereo so actual retail $ value

I will be using the Jl Audio HD900 5 channel amp so speakers will get approx. 150 watts rms. If I add rear speakers I will probably use deck power. Sub will have 500 watts ( JL audio 12W6V2 )

I had JL Audio XR 650's in the 350Z and those were nice but was thinking about maybe the Boston Pro Se's or maybe the new C5's from JL, anyone out there have some 6.5's that they just love?

i would get the polk 6.5's and use the 300 on something else for the car... like Touring pedals.

Default Focal!!!

Get a set of Focal Poly Kevlar KP's. They can be obtained for around $400.00 and you will very, very happy with them. Focals have superior midrange and mid bass output compared to JL's and Bostons. They are also more efficient too which means more output per watt. Polks are good, but the Focal speakers are in another class!

I second the polks unless you are looking for a serious set of speakers in either case a external amp is going to make them sound better.
