AIRBAG LIGHT after install :(
 

So did an install of a JVC KW-V20BT this weekend -- overall , went ok and it works!!

however, on the way to work this morning the Mrs has informed me that "the airbag light" is blinking :( -- actually both dash light and the passenger airbag light (next to the radio, which you have to take off for install) ... is there a way it needs to be reset?

just a matter of not connected back up you think, or could it be something else?? none of the wiring for the radio are airbag related, so I'm pretty sure I didnt cut anything , and all the wires were on the exisiting harness anyway ...

scratching my head :confused:

any guidance or suggestions welcome!

I think I'd try the reset procedure that I found but didn't try because my light stayed steady and never flashed. If that one doesn't do it, maybe try contacting your dealer for the current reset procedure as I couldn't find one searching this forum.

I just did what anybody should do after my install I got the light then went and looked at the stickys at the top of this page and found my answer in about a minute......

once I actually figured out the "search" feature and got it to work, found those stickies !!

just went through the suggested "reset cycles" steps, and VIOLIA!!!!

all good! :tup:
