What do you guys think about a couple of 6X9's there? Enough air space?

RonRizz 11-04-2014 04:13 PM

Hmmmmmm new spring project in the works. Anyone have a diy on the install? I would really like to get rid of my box and clean it up in the hatch area.

Nice try. Ears are not accurate instruments and Will hardly. Tell the difference between low freq. response of a pair of 8s and a single 10.

Is there anyone (vendors or members) that sell boxes that are pre-made to fit in there?

a single large woofer will produce better low bass than a pair of small woofers, especially considering the xmax on 10" and larger subs usually far exceeds 8" offerings so your air volume moved calcs only work if the xmax on your 8's can match a 10, and since you are only buying one sub you can get a comp grade 10 for the price of two sub par 8's. i would personally do a pair of 10's or a single 12 myself. on an unrelated note my next setup is probably going to be one or two small subs purely for weight reasons in a light weight box. gonna try and keep it under 30lbs. it is also going to have to be easily removed.

I appreciate this but our ears are not accurate instruments and will take a sharp ear (someone with really sensitive hearing) to capture the low frequw cy response that is distinguishable and audible. So much so that noise created when driving the z or even the exhaust notes when driving the z will mask the low frequency response that you speak of.

I might have that piece lying around -- PM me an offer if interested?

I believe its P/n is 84978-1EA0A, a whopping $78 new before shipping... I certainly don't want that much.
