You have a constant power feed and a switched power feed that feeds into the connector. The constant power wire should always show power and 12 V when the battery is connected and the fuse is in place and good. The switched power should show 12 volts when you turn the key to the on position. Put a meter on the connectors and check it. I think the constant power wire is yellow and the switched is orange. My constant power wire got shorted someplace inside the wiring loom when I did my install, fuse was good, but no power. Drove me nutty till i fixed it by finding another constant 12V tap on the fuse box.

OK. So I did put a volt meter on the harness plugs back there and didnt see any power on any of the pins. So looks like I may be running some new power wires...

Did you have any issues during the battery replacement process? I don't understand why it would stop working. Did you accidentally grounded the positive cable or had everything on while you disc/conn the battery?

There are fuses to protect all the power sources. So the fuses would blow even if you have any abnormalities during the battery installation.

I replaced the battery on a g37 with Nav and the only thing we had to do was reinitialized the windows.

Did you check the fuses in the fuse box next to the battery?

Yeah, so my helper moneky swapped the cables when jumping the car. I have been checking all the fuses that are obviously related to the system and have not found anything.

Yeah there is a 10amp radio fuse right there. It has power there.

So you connected the cables incorrectly while jumping the car? I'm surprise you didn't have more damages if that was the case.

everything else works just fine in the car aside from the speakers. This happened in October and I just havent had time to address it, been driving it since then (with a new red top optima) with no other issues.

I plugged everything back in and still don't have sound. It would be nice to get a hold of the factory wiring diagrams so I could actually see the circuits.
I am going to buy some new fuses and just replace whats in there.

yeah EVERYTHING works just no sound. The volume gauge goes up and down on the screen, i can channel through stations, inputs, everything. Just no sound. I have really been looking for a wiring schematic so I can maybe trace something down.

Yeah that's pretty much what fixed my issue, except I used the same fuses in different locations. It seems like you had to cut power to something for a second to reset it so it will work again. Even though my battery was disconected for like 3 days. It doesn't make sense but I'm glad it worked.

Yeah, its definitely nice to have it working again. Its kind of annoying it was something that simple, haha. But at least it was an easy fix!
