Just curious, has anyone remove their headliner? This material feels like it would crumble and crease easily. How durable is the material? I just want to put some damper on the roof.

ive not done it. unless you really need to remove it i suggest you just leave it alone unless you have a helper.
you dont want any creases on it.

When we made a OEM mold for a infinity SUV the finished product had a shitton of glue on it and I don't think you would ever get it really tight again once it was pulled loose. I don't know about the Z specifically but I wouldn't want to be the guinea pig on my own car.

Yeah those things are great but buy a few sets, they wear out really fast on the tight areas, especially those narrow ones with the fine points, mine wear out fast, the majority of the other ones I never use.
I know guys at the Port in FL for Toyota that fit a lot of aftermarket things on Toyota cars before dealer delivery that have them made from nylon that's a lot harder than the cheap stuff they make the ones I can buy out of.

Well after two weeks, I'm finally done with dampening the whole car minus the roof. I ended up using 72 sq feet of damplifier pro, and 36 sq feet of luxury liner. Total approximate weight added is 80lbs. I'm going to have to take one huge **** to compensate for this.

Initial ride impression blew me away. I've dampen the whole car before so I had some realistic expectation of how the Z would turn out. But using the luxury liner, I never expected the result to be so profound. On smooth road, the Z is now quieter than my rx350. On textured road it's still a little louder than the Lexus, but it does not have that loud resonating hollow drone sound anymore. Instead, it sounds muffled and contained. Wind noise is still the same, a lot louder than my Lexus. I think it's because I didn't dampen my roof.

Overall, the whole thing is worth doing in my opinion. Would def do this again, after I get a massage for my back.
