I would highly recommend going with the base audio and upgrading form that. It is so much of a pain to even add a sub to teh bose system if you ever wanted to. By the time you upgrade the bose to what you want you could of had a really nice setup for half the price, if you upgraded from the base.

I've got a Touring model without the NAV option. I went that way intentionally because I couldn't see spending $1,800 for an option that included something I'd rarely use. Unless I'm on a trip or headed some place that I've never before visited (which I'd guess is 1 or 2% of the time), I don't use/need a GPS. Instead I use a Garmin Nuvi 255W when I need a GPS system.
