Let us know how it goes! I am one of those "who needs rear speakers" guys though.

Here's some shots during the install....

So you have Front speakers, Tweeters, Subs, AND rear speakers?
|
Nice!
I always wondered why nobody took advantage of that space on the Zenclosure to use for rear speakers... I am of the Jeremy Clarkson mindset when it comes to audio. If my car has 10 speakers and yours has only 6, I win. Even if 4 of them are pointless and redundant. |

I used the crossover on the amp (Old Alpine PX-5) The sub is a W8 and I am only pushing 250W at it and it is fine for me. I will do some recording with front and sub, front rear and sub front and rear no sub etc. Here's the deal for me; the rears made the soundstage off kilter and at first I was disappointed. I started working with the amp and crosses with gain and fade. I finally got to a place where I just laughed my *** off, but I couldn't hear myself laugh. IMHO anyone that says rears are a waste, haven't had them set-up properly. This thing kicked my ***. I still need to do some tweaking, but I'm going to enjoy it for some time first. I wish I had better recording equip, but I think I can get the point across with the cell. I will do so in the morning... MY first impression is to tell you if you are going to order a Zenc, order it cut for rears and some material to cover in case you don't like what you hear. We all know this stuff is highly subjective, but my honest opinion would be AWESOME!!! :owned: If there is anything you want me to do/tape/show whatever let me know and I will do my best. Thanks again to Mike from Zenc, you made my week. :eekdance: JT |

I really can not imagine that if you did this like I did you could not find some improvement in your sound-stage. Thanks for reading... JT |

Here's a few more pics...
First pic is one of the Focal mounted on the side of the Zenc with baffling and a hard cover to protect the speaker. The second is a quick connect/dis so if I need to change a tire or remove the box I can do so without getting out a cutters... JT |
