I'll have to look into that. I know it's going to be really tight with the clearance on the AC/Heat vent. Whatever way I end up going I need lightning cable to be permanently installed (epoxy) to the mount.
What kenwood model are you using? That was one issue I have read about. I choose a pioneer head unit that is supposedly designed specifically to work with Apples IOS. I'll be sure to provide feedback on whether I experience the same issue your having when I get my install done.
