I love this!

I rarely use my cubby and have an ipad mini so I'm really interested in doing this!

Did you have to actually cut out the cubby or simply remove it (like are there clips holding it?) I'd like to be able to return it to stock if necessary (don't know why I just do). Also, what ipad mini mount exactly did you use here?

Lastly, and forgive my ignorance here, but are the cubby dimensions any different in the NISMO? I have an '09 touring...

Very cool project and I'd love to be able to use my ipad for GPS and audio while driving. Gonna start looking into details...

Question about AUX...

is the wire running behind or is it in front/visible? Is there a way to use the ipad/tablet as an audio source without wires hanging out in the open while keeping the stock bose setup?

Yes, you can use the iPad mini as an audio source. In my install all the wires are hidden behind the radio connected to the AUX. I looks like a factory setup using the the Bose radio. No wires are visible. I only see the charger dock for my iPad if I remove it out of my Z.
