What's the best RPM range to measure HP rating on Dashcommand? I would assume as same as a dyno in 4th @ around 4k-Redline I tried this with my Z today and I'm at 330hp with Test Pipes and K&N Filters. I know it's not accurate, but who cares, beats paying for it at a performance shop :)

Well I finished all the cutting/trimming. I was originally hoping to be able to trim the mount enough to fit it without cutting the factory bezel. I also wanted to save the factory fabric if possible. This turned out to not be feasible. So I bit the bullet and started hacking everything together. It was a tight fit but I made it work. The factory bezel was trimmed on the sides right to the AC vent mounts and the top was trimmed around 3/8 inches. I also had to trim the lower radio bezel in order for the mount to sit deep enough. The next step is to fuse everything together, sand, bondo/filler, sand, prime and paint. The end product will be worth the extra time.

This picture is with everything sitting together. Nothing has been molded yet. It gives a very rough idea of the final product. I anticipate another 6-8 hours of labor to get it ready for paint. Being a perfectionist is time consuming.

Nothing will be exposed. The lightning cable will be permanently fixed in the mount. It does what you're looking for. When you put the iPad in, it automatically slides onto the connector. This is actually what hold the iPad in place on the left side of the mount.

My bad. Haven't checked this thread in awhile. Yeah I finished it up and have had it in my car for some time. I'll post pics tomorrow!

Here's a picture from when I was making it. This was after molding everything together and priming the bezel. I ended up rewrapping the bezel in leather.

Nice to see all the ipad installs! Now the ? I am getting a lot of.

1. Are the installs integrated and fully functional to the stock Nissan Bose premium radio without Navi?

2. Will the ipad charge while in the mount?

3. Can the ipad be removed and be put back in to prevent theft ?

4. Can this be done with the ipad mini 4.

5. Can I download videos/music from YouTube a play them back at a later time without having a wifi connection through the speakers.

6. Can I watch live TV. Yes, I have every cable channel/sports/PPV no monthly fee.

The answer is yes to all. I am the only one who has the YouTube download option. I wrote the program/code. None of the app store programs work anymore. I am the the only one with the app.

Does anyone know if there is apple software (like there is for android) to preset functions?
Ex- iPad senses power from head unit into usb, turns on, starts music, opens dash command. I'm plannin on going to the Apple Store within a few weeks to check. Really the only thing holding me back. I don't want to have to set up my music then dash command every time
