I would steer away from the JL Audio 5/500 amp but that is becasue I had some negative experience with it. I had one once and it blew 4 months

I would steer away from the JL Audio 5/500 amp but that is becasue I had some negative experience with it. I had one once and it blew 4 months after I installed it. The final's on the rear channel and sub channel where fried! I bought a second one and it lasted another 4 months, same thing except the front finals were fried. It performed admirably though but it just didnt hold together.
All of my speaker loads where 4 ohms! I bought them off ebay so maybe they were counterfiets?? I dont know, they sounded awesome and delivered brutal power so I doubt it. I have an HD 900/5 but time will tell how long it lasts. I have an extended warranty through Car Toys on it so if it blows, they eat it.
