Default '09 Touring Nav. Unit: Weird Issue Need Advice!

For some reason, I get no audio in the car unless it's over 80 degrees outside. This has to be the strangest thing but once it clicks on it stays on and plays perfectly however it won't click on at all if it isn't hot outside. Even then, it usually takes between 1 and 15 minutes depending on how hot it is outside. Anyone have any clue?!?! It's the stock factory nav&music-box... Any tips appreciated even if it's buying a new one lol

Do you have to hit the power button after it warms up or can you press the button once, when cold, and the unit powers up later? Has the interior of the car ever been wet (flood damage)? Has any work been done in the vicinity of the dash or console?

Will it turn on by pressing the steering wheel joystick "in" in the center position? That would tell you it's the clicker inside the potentiometer that's gone out. Dumbass Nissan let a radio maker use rubber contact/clicker inside there instead of aluminum or brass like most are.
Actually it's a momentary contact switch that the rubber skirt disintegrates on. The reason I know is mine broke and I had to disassemble the radio control PCBA , remove the on/off volume potentiometer and rebuild the momentary switch. Huge PITA.
