iPhone 3.1 Update Breaks Compatibility with Z?
The latest software update seems to have broken compatibility with the Navi integration. I have the Griffin USB->Firewire connector, so the phone still charges, but when I go to the iPod menu on the dash, it simply says "iPod not connected". Has anyone else run into this issue? I might try reverting back to 3.0.1 (or whatever the previous update was) to test but thought I'd get some feedback first.

so, might be a bug that apple needs to address... |
Just an FYI
3.1 didn't break connectivity to my Pioneer AVIC-Z110BT |
I have heard that all is fine with the update with the kenwood head units as well.

Yes, thank you both for pointing that out but it doesn't help my situation.

I suppose no one else is experiencing this issue?

Mhaddy: I am thinking of buying a 370Z but I am worried that the promised iPhone integration is not as good as it seems. What have you found works?
|
I would try but my car is in the shop for TT so I cant test it for you :( srry bro.
Anyone who has an Iphone and navi please test this! |

Again, sometimes it works on the first time no problem, other times I have to try a random combination of any of the above. But it will work. Once plugged in, it's flawless. |
Oh good to know! It charges the phone? Album art shows up? Can you watch videos? How fast is browsing a long list of artists?
|
Actually, the iPhone as an input device (as listed in the manual) isn't supported. The iPod Touch IS a supported device (as listed in the manual) but most of the time, it plays for a while and then "gets lost". And once it's "lost" the only solution I've found is turning off the vehicle and then back on again.
I should really start nagging Nissan about their failure in having things work as advertised. But I hate the thought of arguing with them for a year... |

I've actually never noticed whether album art shows up - when I'm next in there (could be a while with the snow we've received up here), I'll check & see if it shows up. My gut says no though. Never tried watching videos/podcasts but I believe you a) have to be in park (not just stationary) and b) need the iPod A/V cables. Browsing is quick/no noticeable lag. |
is yours the 2009 Mhaddy?
