You could call their help line. I'm sure you're not the only person that's had this issue. Personally those things are a pain in the *** period. I'd rather buy a stereo with a built in programmable SWC. Much easier than programming a PAC or AXCESS controller.

There is a sticky above for the axxxess......That may help you.

you did not listen to the kenchan.. :shakes head: :icon17:

GL with the axxess... :ugh:

i would check with Bigaudiofanat for his insight. he knows how to get them working on the Z. you might need to update your firmware first though.

I did the prep work: updated the firmware & wired it up according to their diagram. Then the real work started: pressing sequences of buttons & swearing for ~20 minutes. Did the exact same sequence of this button, that button, wait for these flashes. Went through it time after time & finally it just worked. Might or might not be able to get another one working. I'm almost positive it's dependent on how the planets are aligned at the time of programming.
But it works like a charm now. Volume up/down, track up/down, source change.

Double check the pin #'s, and don't rely solely on wire colors. Never hurts to check the basic stuff first.

Yeah thanks for the help! It works now somehow, I don't know how or why, but it does. Messed around with for awhile. My led lit up green instead of red for somethings, it always said that there were no wires connected to the controls. Its was just a shitty deal with this one but all buttons work, so I don't know what to say. Nothing turned out or went like what I have read online or in the instructions. All I know is that I am never touching the aswc again while its in my car!!!! Junk!!!!

Sorry your having such problems with the ASWC, I know the manual had a few problems with the colors told to use, I usually go with the pin #'s instead. ASWC is one of the best for steering wheel control modules. The pac is a huge pain having to install resistors (one extra step) to the wires you connect to which can make things even more complex. With over 100 aswc's installed I have to say they are the best.

if axxess works the way it's advertised then it's less steps than the pac, but since people need to post up they are having issues, then that's a extra step right there..

pac is old and mature... but it works the first time.

:ughdance:

Now stuff it back in the dash & forget about it. Every once in a while you'll turn the volume up or go to the next track & appreciate how much work went into making that happen
