So has anyone just taken a bose subwoofer out of a touring model and plugged it into the harness in a base model to try it out? Since the base

So has anyone just taken a bose subwoofer out of a touring model and plugged it into the harness in a base model to try it out? Since the base model head unit has a fader for rear speakers that do not exist, and also has the spare tire subwoofer wiring harness, maybe the rear speaker fader output would go to the subwoofer? I am also assuming that it is a powered subwoofer with the amp built in?
